Out of control inflation? Burgeoning debt? Sudden appearance of diseases which haven't been seen in the US since the 1960's?? Those kinds of "stable infrastructure?"

I will grant you "fair working conditions" but those aren't the result of Democrat policies. They were bi-partisan efforts spanning decades and the work isn't over, nor will it ever be, because people like you insist of giving favored treatment to certain groups in order to gain political power.

It sounds great in theory: democracy, we the people, etc. And for a while, the increase in bureaucracy was mostly an improvement that made the nation functional again after the Depression. The growing empire needed growth management. But now we're long past the growth stage. We can't just write a blank check for anything we want government to do and call that an accomplishment. The nation doesn't have that much of a credit rating. We must do more of what we want done, because nobody else will, with hard limits on spending. What we can do, what we can afford, and what is worth the work and money will all get careful scrutiny.
