What a boring fight. The undercards were more exciting. I felt bad for David Tua, but WTF!? Can he throw anything besides a left hook? Every time he came up, Lewis brought his hand up and blocked it. It was like watching an adult box a child.

Can ANYBODY beat Lennox Lewis?

lewis-tua

Floridians couldn't, they'd punch in the wrong place, or the wrong man

I can beat Lenniow Lewis, just give me a couple of bats and lead pipes and a few brass knuckles, and a couple of shots of knock out juice.

I don't know Laurel but I bet the Don King could find a way of making money.

I don't think I could come up with anything better than that Luscious. It would be much better than watching two guys beat the hell out each other.

They already have a movie version, called "Stiff Competition". An adult film about a blow-job contest.

I don't think that any of the current heavyweights are really going to give Lennox Lewis a fight. The best hope would be Roy Jones saying what the heck and giving it a try. Tyson has been a joke for so long that I am afraid that Lewis would kill him.

Tua's strategy of trying to look like Don King and lead with his chin, was questionable however.

so Tua was supposed to be this great fighter and what does he have? A left hook that he needs to take a run at to get halfway close, and that was it! Punch stats of 100 Tua, 300 Lewis show he wasn't close enmough too often.

Lewis has fought everyone who would get into a ring with him and apart from one dumb moment - in 1994 for chrissakes - has sorted them. Tyson? Well, it will either be like the Tua fight - Tyson won't get close enough to bite or fight - or like Grant - Tyson comes at Lewis, and gets swatted to the canvas for his termerity. Tyson knows that once Lewis has finished with him, he'll have to retire for good.

Sad thing is that because Lewis is just a nice quiet guy with no headline bad behaviour and a charisma bypass, he isn't rated. The boos from the crowd in Vegas were a disgrace! People watching the best heavyweight for 20 years had no respect for his quality and no appreciation of his craft.

Yeah, Lewis is a class act. Lots of talent, brains, and style, and he gets nothing but grief. People fall over themselves crowning Roy Jones the King of the Heavyweights. Lewis'd beat Jones into the ground! Tyson's been offered all kinds of money to take on Lewis and he refuses 'cause he knows he'd get clobbered. Those boos were rude, though I weren't sure if they were booing the fighters or the fight.

LMAO! You forgot about that "killer" left hook. You know, the one Lewis blocked with one hand. lol.

Laurel... I don't think Lewis is that good but the bastard has strong long arms that no-one can get close to.

And what of Holyfield... or Micheal Grant... or god forbid Foreman's chances of downing Britain's great black hope?

How did Tua score so much if Lewis threw three times as many punches... That is something I cant understand at all.

Of course he would beat tyson now but fourteen years ago, at least there would have been a real contest (And Iron Mike wouldn't bite either)

Who was that Cuban boxer in the Olympics this year? Felix Savon, if I remember right? Now that guy had serious reach. He and his opponent could be at opposite sides of the ring and Felix could still punch the other guy out, without moving anything but his arm. Amazing stuff. Well, at least I thought so :)

Lewis took Grant down in two rounds. Holyfield's an old man. Foreman's getting on in years, too, though I wouldn't put it past him. He's George Foreman.

I'd pay to see a Tyson/Lewis match.

I didn't see Felix Savon, but I remember some Phillippino dude who had an insane reach AND power...not a heavyweight...Hernandez, maybe? WTF was his name? What happened to him?

The Trinidad/Vargas fight's coming up. My money's on Trinidad - I'd love for him to teach that criminal a lesson. What do you all think?

Well said Golden and Laurel.
There's NOBODY out there to give Lewis a fight he's the perfect heavyweight , Tall , Big carry's 17/18 stone no problem , fast and powerful.

Lennox Lewis is the man at the moment he gave Tua a 12 round boxing display from the first to last bell , Jab , Move , Jab , Explode . Credit to Tua he took some good combination's from Lennox and didn't go down , but Lennox been a BOXER he realised that and went and got that big jab working again keeping Tua away . The people that booed are dumb and don't appreciate good boxing skill's (remember Ali)

Chef as for the three fighter's ya mentioned like Laurel said about Grant in two , Holyfield - Lewis robbed the first time and did a job on him the second time as for Foreman he's past it Lennox would run rings round him .

Lewis - Tyson. Probably much the same as the Tua fight big jab's keeping him away till Tyson got mad and do something stupid and get disqualified . I agree that Tyson in his younger days might have beaten Lennox but it would have been a hell'uva fight , It's a pity Gus Damento didn't live longer to influence Tyson more , he would not have got in to so much trouble and he probably would have remained undefeated , that's the shame so much raw talent but people where more bothered about earning the $ from Mike Tyson than Mike Tyson the person he need help and people didn't care.

One to watch from the Olympics Audley Harrison Super heavyweight champion , He's already turned Don King down to promote him (got his head screwed on right)

As for the Trindad - Vargas fight I too would like to see Trindad do Vargas but I think Vargas might just be a bit too strong for him but we never know till it happens.
