This alludes to an interview and covers some of the what was covered in the partial interview that I heard this morning, but not the portion I wanted to highlight. I want to find the full transcript because it was powerful, and I cannot do it justice with a paraphrase.
There was a quiet dignity in his matter-of-fact recounting of his experience as a boy of twelve in a contact with police that I think could bridge the unfortunate gap between those of us who never would have occasion to experience law enforcement in quite that way, and those that have.
