Let's talk about hate

It seems to be a popular frame of reference, here. You know what I hate, when you floss you teeth and the floss breaks and it's stuck in there, you feel it, but you can't grab it. So you go in with tweezers, then hemostats (everyone has a pair of those from back in college) then needle nose pliers, then vice grips. Eventually, you just give up and it falls out in a couple of days. I hate that. And liver.

Hate is a very negative word and shouldn't be used casually. I am guilty of it also but I try not to be. Reserve it for things that truly need to be hated. Stale bread, flat beer, old rice that I find in my pantry and think is good until I get a whiff of it.

Most of my life I looked up to Americans. I perceived them as being much more open-minded than other countries. But after living in a particular - blue - state and after observing this forum, I discovered a new brand of Americans:
closed-minded haters with a Napoleonic complex.

The Left disappointed me more than the Right. Because in their case it was unexpected, since they portray themselves as tolerant.
