Do you?
Is it fun?
Part of your sexlife?
Is it a need, necesity or a nice to?
Do you consider yourself good at it?
Regular partner?
What makes someone good at cybering?
Do you consider it cheating?
Fantasy, or what you would do in real life?
Is it for real or just words on a screen?
Do you think we're any better at it because we write?
Is touch necesarry in order to say that you are making love?

Discuss please.

Spent years online doing this, lots of partners, lots of fun.

For me though it's more like participating in the theater, creative writing, improv.

Met my husband online, phone and online was what we had there for a bit, we made the most of it.

He's not comfortable with me participating in this any more, even if I'd like to. I'd love to jump into some of Stella's roleplay threads, for instance.

My husband would consider it cheating even if I consider it theater. But I do understand that being perceived as me using the "theater" excuse to get some on the side might be a little too ambiguous for peace of mind.

Retired enthusiast.

Do I? Yes, but not often.

Is it fun? Yes.

Part of my sexlife? It's all of my sex life.

Is it a need, necesity or a nice to? It's a nice to. I don't need sex any more.

Do you consider yourself good at it? I've had no complaints from my partners yet.

Regular partner? Not currently.

What makes someone good at cybering? Language. It's much like writing a story.

Do you consider it cheating? If I was in a real life relationship, yes.

Fantasy, or what you would do in real life? Real life. My fantasies are pretty vanilla.

Is it for real or just words on a screen? Both, or neither. You decide. The emotions are quite real to me.

Do you think we're any better at it because we write? Yes. Words trigger emotions, so if you're good with words, you'll trigger good emotions.

Is touch necesarry in order to say that you are making love? My words touch my partner, so I'd have to say 'yes'.

You're welcome. ;)

  • Do you?

Haven't ... yet. Won't rule it out, though.

  • Is it fun?

I assume it would be. Otherwise, why bother?

  • Part of your sexlife?

    Not currently.

  • Is it a need, necesity or a nice to?

None of the above, currently. I imagine it'd be just another layer in a relationship. Would I want it to be the ONLY layer? No. In fact, I doubt I'd get into it if it were the only layer.

  • Do you consider yourself good at it?

I wouldn't disappoint. "Good" is relative.

  • Regular partner?

    N/A

  • What makes someone good at cybering?

What makes someone good at anything? Practice, intensity, openness.

  • Do you consider it cheating?

That depends on the promises/expectations between my partner(s) & me. If it's something I feel compelled to "hide," then yes, it's cheating.

  • Fantasy, or what you would do in real life?

    Depends.

  • Is it for real or just words on a screen?

Oh, it'd be real. I don't do "just" anything.

  • Do you think we're any better at it because we write?

    Of course.

  • Is touch necesarry in order to say that you are making love?

    Absolutely NOT.

Do you? I use to.

Is it fun? Ahh Ya, or why bother doing it?

Part of your sexlife? It was at one point.

Is it a need, necesity or a nice to? A nice to, added a little sumpin sumpin!

Do you consider yourself good at it? I have never had complaints! lmao

Regular partner? A few.

What makes someone good at cybering? Ability to read into what others want. Good at faking 'it'! lmao

Do you consider it cheating? Depending on how far you take it and how much it affects your life together.

Fantasy, or what you would do in real life? All fantasy, unless I wasn't married.

Is it for real or just words on a screen?
Depends on which friend you are talking about. I have a couple deep friendships with a couple friends still. Both our lives have changed conciderably since we started on line. Now we are just great friends that care alot about each other. Both our spouses know each other exist.
Like I said, if I werent married and he wasnt engaged, there certainly would be something to look forward to in the relationship. However we know where the line is drawn and no longer go past it!

Do you think we're any better at it because we write? YES!!! A guy I use to chat with from California introduced me to this site due to my way of communicating. I will be forever greatful. We would write with each other, one would start, then the other would write and back and forth. I still love doing this, but it tends to interfear with reality.

Is touch necesarry in order to say that you are making love?
Hmmm, I think as writers the answer would be no. We can use our imagination as well as other artists to see, feel and experience things around us that may or may not be real. If you can visualize and feel the participation of the other person, or hear their voice, it would be as real as someone laying with you.

My 2cents worth,
C

Is it for real or just words on a screen?I never say anything I don't mean

My husband and I had a friend that used to feed us lines of guys cybering and we'd give her her cues. Always happy to help out in a tight spot.

I like your post tx beautiful. How does ability to read others come in handy? just checkin.

more questions

do you play the same role when you cyber than you do in real life. So if you're dominant in bed do you dominate on the net?
Do you give and take?
Share some stories!!

cyber

Done it in the past and at first it was a great experience. But it quickly wore off. You really have to have the right person on the other end. I would much rather talk "about" sex with a woman. Find out their sexual past, what they've done, what they would like to do, their turn ons, share stories and fantasies with them. That is a big turn on for me, but I don't consider that cyber. There is something very exciting about a woman being open enough to share their fantasies.

That's the best part, find partners that will do anything.

I met in roleplay environments...games. So I could play anything in context. Mud/Mush/Moo games in text, others.

My husband and I and other partners could plays male and female, anything we think is fun. We'll develop story lines and have others play along sometimes.

Once had a great run as a goddess of pain. People liked my wedding ceremonies, I did bloodletting and stuff.

Being evil is really a lot of fun with a good partner. Exploration is key, and someone who can pick up the slack and catch on to a new storyline is great.

Often you can have two parallel conversations going on:

IC: Smut
OOC: Too funny! What to do...damn.
IC: Vicious smut.
OOC: That is mean. I love it. Okay...

I'm a roleplayer, in a major way, so I probably have a different take on this than most.

Do you? When the need for it in a storyline arises.

Is it fun? Depends. Some people can't roleplay sex any better than I could roleplay a glass of water.

Part of your sexlife? Nope.

Is it a need, necesity or a nice to? Usually it's a pain in tha ass and a means to an end.. we want to move the story along and we can't without sex becoming involved.

Do you consider yourself good at it? Not really. Others do, and that's what counts I guess.

Regular partner? Several, depending on what character I'm using for that game.

What makes someone good at cybering? A talent with words and a feel for details.

Do you consider it cheating? Is reading a romance novel cheating?

Fantasy, or what you would do in real life? Oh, most definitely fantasy. My body can't take that kind of damage.

Is it for real or just words on a screen? Its words on a screen weaving the tapestry of a story. The story is the important part.

Do you think we're any better at it because we write? Most likely.. most writers have a talent for packing immense drama and detail and emotion into the simplest lines of a sex scene.

Is touch necesarry in order to say that you are making love? Yes. In multiple forms.

Someday I may get the nerve to actually post some of the story logs that we do through email (my rp group and I) and show what I mean by- sometimes the sex is a necessity. We do have a few "cock-in-hand" players (who we regularly have to bitchslap down for attempting to interrupt play for a cyber session, which the more intense players have no use for) that are excellent writers, when they're concerned about the story and not the stroke.

I know a lot of people enjoy cybersex, and if it gets them off, great. I wish them many fun-filled hours of typing. I just don't happen to be one of them.. then again, I don't get all hot and bothered over reading smut either. I get more into the writing of the stories than I do into the sexual aspect. Occasionally I see something that makes me go Ooh! I want to try that and see if it works.. and sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Certain positions that people have written into stories most patently do NOT work for the man and I. :D

From my online travels I have about 21 two-inch binders worth of transcripts. My daughter is advised she may read these upon my death.

When you have a hard core roleplayer, you're seeking to outwrite the other person. If you're really good, this is iron man/iron woman territory. Stroking would leave you open to not spelling correctly.

Talk now. Come later.

so theres actually like profesional cyberrers out there? Way kewl!!!!

but how emotional is that? Is there a connection with the person you're with?

I started out in a completely casual roleplay environment with lots of people.
Excellent writers. But for attitude, creativity and writing ability, the man who is currently my husband...was the best. Met in a "battle of wits" where people were betting gold on who would win. Sense of humor, originality, generosity, sexy as hell, he just shone in everything he did. Ultimately whoever we played just started...drifting toward each other. Fast typers, quick tongues.

Online together for years. Played so many parts together, whether we were playing twins, friends, enemies, swapped genders...didn't matter, we just had the most fun ever if we were with each other.

So we decided to have the most fun ever in 3D.

So even if you start as "this is nothing, just improv" (which we both did), if you meet your match, you know it.

That's just brilliant :cathappy:

OMFG!! *laughing hysterically, spit apple all over the screen*
I thought I was the only one with a stash of logs. That is just great, lol.
We're actually a really relaxed group, but it is most definitely all about the game with us. We've been known, in the past, to actually set up a schedule and do conferenced three-way calls until every player was on the line so we could discuss what we were aiming for, air out any issues we had with other players, and set up the next game time, as we all have incredibly insane schedules, and we're in worldwide time zones.

And to answer you, Fem, yes, there are professional cybersexers. I have one. he's a demonic avatar of Pruslas, The Master of Lusts, and he's a whore from the get-go. Damn pretty boy, addicted to all sorts of things, and a pain slut besides. He's been hired for a dinner party appearance tonight. His going rate for two hours of my time- the person who wants him there had to recode all the HTML for one of my web pages because I can't do HTML.
