Lets see some facts about Forever_gemini's statements
According to http://www.literotica.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=147026&perpage=25&pagenumber=9 there have been a few "falsehoods" flying around.
Ok so I was sitting around bored, and catching up on the day's events on lit, when i came across this little flame war. Since I had nothing better to do, I did some checking into the basic statements as I could see them, and into to the history of the Momma's Kitchen thread. For those people who cannot be bothered clicking on the link, let me point out an obvious fact that immediately LEAPS out at me... no-one by the name of "PC" has ever posted on that thread, nor has anyone who's initialls match up.
I chose to call the quoted statement from Forever_Gemini "a lie".
The other person you mention in your quote, is that "QuickDuck" ( now known to me as TED, from here on since everyone seems to have abbreviations), also posts to the thread. This is correct according to the link above, but going by what I will call "Playground rules", the 210 posts made by the supposedly Evil Duck (maybe he and PC can be the PG's very own "axis of clique"?), gives him/her a respect that with your own Forever_Gemini's 75 posts (at the time of me posting this) simply had not earnt. Infact, there was even a comment by the thread owner (yes I understand how "ownership" works on the PG), relating to the fact that TED had always been nice on that thread. This seems to have been ignored.
At least that is how it seems to work here on the Playground... the board that is more cliquie than a field full of cliques during clique mating season. I daresay that EVERY thread on the Playground, is it's own clique.
Thinking I may have missed something, I did a little bit of research into the "Axis Of Clique", and a few things stood out to me....
Lets look at the players...
1. Firstly, proclaimed god of the GB, Dixon Carter Lee. Ummm who? Yes from what I have read of his posts, he has a large group of friends, but if i was supposed to turn towards DCL at 4pm everyday and pray, damn I didn't get that memo. Did anyone else?
2. TED has posted on a wide range of threads (both here and on the GB) and seems "ok". My opinion is that he is mostly considered a "fluff" poster, except for a numer of aggressive posts towards a couple of individuals that are considered "trolls", by the members of the GB.
3. PC is one of the more outspoken on the GB and does not seem to tolerate (for want of a better word) fools easily. Again he posts on a wide range of threads, but seems to stick primarily to the GB.
4. Forever_gemini created a thread on the 29th January 2003 on the GB called Are People Real On Lit?. On this thread, she asked a question which a number of people answered but were ignored completely. She also made a joke in her initial post about "can this not turn into an orgy", to which GB posters responded but with no malice..... until on page 2, she seemed to take offense at the people who were having fun.
I repeatedly hear it being said that the GB is not the PG or vice versa, and this was pointed out (nicely I believe) by a number of posters. FG stated that was attacked first.... this appears to also be one of those pesky things called "a lie"
The first salvo was fired by FG at a number of people, of who Nora stands out quite clearly. She then almost ran, back to the comfort of her home thread "Momma's Kitchen" which seems as harmless as most other threads on the Playground (providing you turn off sig lines
yes that was a joke).
5. A poster to the PG and other boards named ~Dream~, has a number of times, stated that TED attacked her. I think i found the thread she referred to, and while the initial post from TED was EXTREMELY uncalled for, it was apologised for later in the thread. He also said that he apologised by PM as well, but was met by a personal threat, as were other posters to the thread (isn't this a breach of board rules?). For the benifitt of the doubt, lets just say that ~Dream~ made these comments in the heat of the moment, yet the public and private apology have been ignored, and she continues to "urge" others onto the supposed "front lines" while she stays in the background and plays "poor little me".
6. Finally, there is one of the main object of FG's attacks, Nora. I have spoken privately to Nora in PM's and she seems honest and "straight up" to me. She would possibly fall into the same category as PC and does not suffer what she perceives as "stupidity" from people.
Now, why has FG decided to carry on with this friction that we saw today? I cannot tell you, only she can. Maybe was to try and save some perceived face on her part? Again, I don't know, only she can tell you, the audience.
*disclaimer* please note that this post is my own views, as posted by someone who has posted on both forums, but is still to call either of them "home". Does that make me unbiased? I don;t know. You be the judge. My comments of "has not posted to this thread" was correct at the time of posting. I am also aware that I too, am considered a "troll" by some. Not sure how, but well, thats life eh? Yes, I am posting this on the GB as well, so that I can be flamed in two places
