Let's Hear It For The Poets

hey Champ I couldn’t hear this even with my headphones on, don’t know if it’s my end but the audio was really, really quiet

I'll redo it Todski. I thought it was a little muted too, but I could hear it. I reposted the new link into the poem post.. Thanks for letting me know the problem. I hope you can hear it now.

Innervate Imagination

When I hear you whisper in that low slow arousal voice,
you remind me of my name through the fog of your touch,
each stroke stirring a different position from my legs,
stretching and spreading a wide vee,
whose point is the meeting of my thighs and the opening of desire.
Sniff and make me smile,
as with your nostrils' flare I see that spark ignite,
through your dilating pupils,
as a flash inside your mind

You are the one who takes me apart with a brush of your hand,
along the gooseflesh of my breast,
my pieces disassembling like a puzzle,
falling to individual colours.
blue sky like your eyes,
blue water like the liquid kisses from your lips,
and then I see the red of mine,
the heated radiance of pink blush from flesh,
teased and toasted with the patter of your drummer's palms

Those micro vibrations,
as they travel through my flesh
with each quick martillo smack,
down on the tightly stretched skin of my hip,
shaken along sensation's pathways,
innervate my mind,
so that my clit only needs the lightest touch to explode,
but only if you put me back together.

I need to be whole,
so I can feel you control,
how I will respond when you begin to stroke
those deft fingers across nerve endings,
teased to the surface of my engorged labia.
The pulsing hood covering up my too sensitive glans.
All of me giving over to you,
so that you choose where to begin taking me apart.

Again

The vibrant green of the carpeting grass,
falls like emeralds poured from a velvet bag,
or maybe the bright scarlet of saffron threads
dissolving to a liquid gold as they sink
through the heated fluid you have melted me to become.
Me a puddle of crocus flower blossom
fading in just one day,
while my mind leaps free
and becomes the white pieces of dove wings
and snow-capped Rockies

My memories of us together fade
to the sensations of us together
as you let me become a confusion of impressions
and just fuck me,
while I give up trying
to make sense of anything.
Just fuck me
so that I keep coming apart
until 2000 bits of my information can be catalogued
into edges, corners, sky,
and scenery that you yearn
to keep coming back for,
every day this sex remains imagination.

November 1988

I was browsing Québécois literature
in the basement of Duthie Books
when I caught sight of her fine legs

descending the spiral staircase.
She started leafing through the poetry section
as I was trying to think of a pickup line

like you know, my touch could change
the whole meaning of your body,
when I spied
the gold band on her left hand

and then all I could wish
was that today was five or ten or whatever
years ago and that I was Canadian,

knew something about hockey,
and somehow I had met her well before
that guy who got there first.

Once Had a Dream

Had it all worked out last night, you know
Woke up this morning, it had lost its glow
Inspiration, perspiration, shine don’t show
Fast track’s fast, but change comes slow
Ain’t going nowhere, cause no place to go
Caught a dhow to China, but the wind no blow
Planted trees to carbon catch, but trees don’t grow
Bank’s taking back the house, says it’s in escrow
Clouds up high, but seems there’s only shit below
That ninety-nine percent done taken all the dough
Once I had a dream, but had to let it go.
