Let's Get Textual (Closed)

Tommy rolled his eyes at the ringing phone, and chuckled as Anna scampered away from him to answer it, ending their little moment prematurely. He was still quite hard, of course. He rolled away from her as she answered. It was clearly Adam. He smirked as he heard her lie about her whereabouts and activities, before swinging his legs off the side of the bed and standing up.

He pulled on his shorts and a tee shirt. He looked at his own phone, and saw a few new text messages there. “Well that’s interesting,” he said softly, just loud enough for Anna to hear, and left her there without saying another word, taking his vaporizer with him and heading down to his music and art room.

He didn’t bother with the guitars, though. Instead, he went to the corner, and pulled the cover off an adjustable chair. It was designed to lay back or sit up, with easily adjusted armrests, perfect for someone to sit in for a tattoo. He had dabbled in tattooing and piercing off and on for some time, and had all the necessary gear, but it had been a while since he had put any of it to use.

He looked at his phone again. There was a text message from Steve, the bass player in his band. Hey, I heard you were off work for a bit. Hope you’re getting better! I think I’m ready to get that ink we talked about!

He smirked again before texting back. Come on by

She raised her brow at Tommy’s comment but her attention was quickly redirected to calming her boyfriend. She had no idea that it was a lost cause.

She could hear the pout in his voice even from across the country. Currently he was complaining about missing out on that blowjob he usually demanded before he left on work trips, but also how Anna hadn’t responded to his texts — she hadn’t even realized he had messaged, actually, so caught up in giving Tommy all the fantastic oral he wanted.

Momentarily, she thought you don’t have the authority to make me do anything — not like he does. He makes my cunt wet just by giving me that look. You know; the one that says “you want to do what I tell you because you’ll be a hurting little doll if you don’t before she returned to the conversation once more.

“I know, and I’m sorry Adam. I’m on nights the next two nights — I’ve been sleeping most of the day away. Yeah, I’m disappointed about not getting to spend time with you before you left but Tommy is my friend, too, and he needed the help. What was I supposed to do? Leave him to suffer alone with broken ribs and a concussion? Seriously Adam, you’d think I’m a shitty person the way you go on,” she retaliated.

Adam sucked in a breath like he wanted to backpedal that statement, knowing he was treading dangerous territory now. He switched modes on the conversation but it always seemed to circle right back to the same old. “Yeah, I get it. Shit happens but that doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it. I know you’re too sweet for your own good, baby, but we never get time to ourselves and when we do lately he always seem to be butting in and ruining our fun!”

Anna considered that for all of one second and threw that idea out the window.

“Have you ever listened to yourself? You’re being ridiculous,” she admonished, wandering into the kitchen and making herself a sandwich absentmindedly, cradling her cell between one bare shoulder and her cheek (because she still hadn’t bothered to dress. Her only audience member had seen everything on offer anyway).

Adam sighed on the other end of the line.

“Yeah, maybe, but I miss my girlfriend. What am i supposed to think when she ditches me to hang out with another dude? I’m not mad at you, just saying that guy always seems to find a way to fuck up my plans lately...”

Of course that started another tirade - Tommy getting concussed was an accident. How dare Adam imply that Tommy was the problem between them right now? He might have been the man her heart belonged to, and admittedly Anna was misbehaving with him, yes, but Adam had ruined their relationship all on his own with his selfishness and laziness. He refused to meet her halfway or communicate and Anna was just so tired of it.

“Whatever Adam,” she said. “It is what it is. You’ll be home in a few days and we can fight about it then. Can’t you just let it go for five minutes? I want to talk about how your trip has been. Seen anything exciting or cool? Have you...”

Anna chattered right along for a while, firing off questions in attempt to change the subject. He sighed but didn’t put up another fuss, fielding her queries less than enthusiastically. Anna frowned but decided it wasn’t worth it.

She needed to end this conversation now before Adam started getting pissy again, because she could hear the strain in his voice and knew it was coming. Just as she said, “I have to go, babe. I’ll call on my break tonight and we catch up,” Adam talked over her, likely unintentionally but unrelenting.

“Whatever, Anna. I have better things to do than argue with you right now. I’ve gotta go,” she heard, before the line went dead with no real goodbyes. There was no “have a good shift, babe,” or “I love you’s” and that fact was saddening, but Anna was more focused on something else.

She stared slack jawed out the window above the sink. What was he on about? Arguing? They had been having a reasonable conversation, or so she thought. Figures. If he wasn’t getting his way he always considered it “an argument”; forgive her for wanting to talk about Adam and not his misplaced ire at Tommy.

She grit her teeth. She was just about done with putting up with this bullshit. Her feelings mattered and Adam always talked down to her like she was his toy only there to entertain him when it was convenient for him. She might have been in the wrong for engaging in this whole scenario with Tommy, but Adam was still wrong to have spoken to her like that. She needed to curb her attraction now before she made this clusterfuck even worse!

“Ooooh! Holy fuck!” She raged. “He is so selfish, I swear! What an ass,” she muttered, leaving about half of her sandwich untouched as she got up and stormed into the bathroom. She did her business and stomped down the hall to Adam’s room, only to rip the comforter off his bed and a pillow before she returned to the couch and deposited them there.

Even though she’d just napped with Tommy she was eager for this mess to be over with, so she resolved to sleep away as much of the day as she could. She wouldn’t sleep in the bed of the man she was angry at, and Tommy wasn’t her boyfriend, so there went that plan. He was just a troublemaker, and Anna was too easily led. She was impulsive and especially needy for attention right now and she’d taken that too far.

She had to start separating herself from this. Tonight she’d tell Tommy she was going home; he seemed to be managing just fine without her help, after all - he was still able to manhandle her like she weighed nothing, so he must have been feeling okay. For now, Anna would sleep her troubles away, but first she ventured down the hall to steal some shorts and a tshirt from her bag. This was the first step to detach herself from him.

She could do this.

Anna wrapped herself like a burrito in the comforter and slept with her chest facing the back of the couch. She was passed out again within minutes of curling up, frustrated tears tracking wet trails over the apples of her cheeks.

Tommy was getting his tattoo machine and inks in order for Steve when he heard the unmistakeable sound of Anna stomping angrily through the house. What in the hell... he wondered, before brushing it off. Adam must have pissed her off... again. It frustrated him. He cared deeply about Anna and didn’t want to see her angry like that. Sure, this whole affair was probably not a good thing, but... the attraction and energy between them was undeniable.

After hearing some more stomping, he decided he needed to investigate. It definitely wouldn’t do to have Steve show up while Anna was in one of her moods. Bless her heart, but she had some emotions going on right now, that much was obvious. He stood up, and that’s when he realized the pain meds had wore off. There was a sudden sharp pain in his back, made considerably worse every time he breathed. He started wheezing. “Fuck,” he grunted. Maybe it would be better to postpone the tattoo for Steve.

He nearly stumbled on his way to his room, but kept his feet and found the pain pills. He promptly swallowed down two of them, but he knew it would take a little bit for them to kick in. His breathing heavy, he made his way towards the kitchen.

He found Anna huddled on the couch, her back to the world, snoring softly. He would have sat next to her and tried to console her, but the pain in his back was too much for him at the moment; he needed something strong to jumpstart the meds, and he knew just the thing. With a grunt, he pulled his bottle of rum down from the liquor cabinet, and grabbed a beer from the fridge. He took a shot straight from the bottle, and washed it down with a swig of beer, and then repeated that a couple more times before collapsing on the chair with a painful thud.

“God dammit,” he groaned, taking a deep and painful breath.

She peeled open one eye, blearily staring at the cushion in front of her. Tommy sure was making a lot of noise; banging around in the kitchen and grunting and groaning. Couldn’t she get a moment of peace?!

Anna sat up slowly, half a mind to ream him out for disturbing her when she caught him in her peripheral vision, slumped back against the chair. He looked quite pathetic right now, and her sour mood left her immediately in exchange for concern. Tommy looked like he was in serious pain and the last thing he needed was Anna’s bad mood to rub off on him. She frowned, but made her way off the couch and over to check on him.

“You okay?” She asked curiously. “You don’t look so good and by the sound of you rampaging around here you probably feel like shit - today was too much for you,” she chastised. “You’re doing more than you should be, so I expect you to go lay down and sleep this off while the pain meds kick in!” She was back to being bossy, but it was the best way to get him healing and allow for Anna to take a step back from the entire situation and wash her hands of it.

“I’m fine,” Tommy said through gritted teeth. He didn’t like her bossy tone and attitude. “Steve’s coming over in a bit to get a tattoo done, anyway,” he continued. He turned his head and glared at her. “I can handle it.”

He took another drink off his beer, emptying the can. He crumpled it in his hand with a loud crunch of aluminum. He took a deep breath; the alcohol had certainly helped dull the pain. His gaze softened as he looked at her again, and reached out for her, his fingers grazing her chin before his hand slid to the side of her neck.

“Thank you, though, Anna. I appreciate it. Now be a doll and get into that outfit I made for you earlier. I’m gonna need your help to get this tattoo done.”

Anna glared back.

“No! You’re absolutely not doing anything of the sort and you can’t expect me to wear that silly little outfit, so get that idea out of your head right now,” she warned, brushing his hand off.

“Rest is what you need and the beer certainly isn’t helping matters,” She sneered, more exasperated at him than anything. Tommy knew better! Or didn’t he? Either way, none of this was a great idea right now.

She pointed one finger down the hallway towards his bedroom.

“Off you go, mister. I expect you to be in bed in the next five minutes!”

“Oh, the beer is definitely helping,” Tommy replied, his pain level already significantly decreased. He stood up, breathing easier. He grabbed another beer from the refrigerator and opened it, and headed into the living room.

He sighed. She was probably right, he did need to just relax. He was feeling restless, though. It was frustrating. He tended to be pretty active and liked keeping busy with something. Typically, the only time he really laid back and chilled out and didn’t do much of anything was when he got stoned good and proper.

“I really suck at relaxing, doll,” he explained, taking a drink off his beer. “So we’ll compromise. I’ll chill out wherever you want me to, as long as you’re right there with me. Deal?”

She chewed on her lips as she considered. It was a fair compromise but she worried that he’d be unable to keep his hands to himself. Regardless, Anna nodded slowly and made her way back to the couch. She rearranged her nest of blankets and curled up into them, encouraging him to sit and relax with her.

Even though Tommy wasn’t much for watching TV, she held out the remote to him with a pointed raise of her eyebrow. This was how they’d be passing the afternoon whether he liked it or not. Light duty only,

Tommy took the remote from Anna, and sat down next to her on the sofa. He scrolled through the queue and turned on a movie. “I’m gonna get my geek on,” he said, pressing play on The Fellowship of the Ring.

Within half an hour of the movie starting, Tommy had nestled his way into Anna’s nest, his head resting on her thigh as they watched the movie.

Halfway through the movie, he had her cuddled up on him, both of them lying together on the sofa, limbs comfortable entwined.

“So... you gonna tell me what’s got you upset? Adam being an ass again?” Tommy asked her, his voice a heavy whisper in her ear, his hands slowly, casually roaming her body.

Anna tried to sit up, pulling away from his searching hands abruptly.

She kept her eyes focused on the movie. “Adam is an ass,” she said simply, but her cold tone implied that she didn’t want to talk about it. In fact, her body language was closed off in general to Tommy as a warning to stay away; she became weak when he touched her and she couldn’t have that. She had to wean herself off of him like you would any addiction before he got too overwhelming.

Anna was freezing up on him, trying to get away, but he wasn’t going to let her. His grip on her pulled her back into their cuddle. He kissed her neck.

“I know he’s being an ass. That’s just how he is,” Tommy told her. He’d been seeing more and more of that from Adam lately, and he was less than impressed.

His hands roamed her body, holding her close to him. “You deserve someone who knows how to treat you how you deserve,” he whispered in her ear. It was a clear invitation, as his hand slid along her thigh.

It was so unusual that Tommy was trying to make Anna talk. Adam usually refused and stormed away, letting Anna cry or bemoan her relationship problems all on her own instead of making any effort to fix them. Of course it was different here because Tommy opposed Anna and Adam’s relationship, but at least he was encouraging her to talk in the first place.

She didn’t really want to talk about, so used to suffering in silence, but part of her wanted to confess just how broken she was.

She leaned her cheek on his shoulder and grasped his hand in hers, peeling it away from sensitive areas.

“Everything is all my fault lately. He’s throwing a fit because I stayed—had to help you out a bit with your concussion.” Her words stumbled because Anna almost admitted to staying overnight with him at the hospital and she didn’t want him to know she’d done something like that; Tommy would take it for more than she wanted him to - it was an act of love but he definitely didn’t need to know that. It would only be one more thing for him to use against her.

“He’s been getting so distant lately and I’m not sure what to do,” she admitted with a sigh.

Suddenly she didn’t want to talk about this any more.

She also didn’t want to encourage him, but Anna was curious about what he meant when he said “how you deserve to be treated” so she decided she had to ask.

“How on earth do I deserve to be treated?” This could veer into dangerous territory at any moment and Anna prepares herself to make a quick exit if she had to.

Tommy listened as she bemoaned the current state of her relationship with Adam. Of course, he had been watching from the sidelines for years now, and he had to agree with her. Adam had changed. He wasn’t sure if Adam’s job was making him bitter and angry, or if there was something else going on, but he kept his mouth shut to let her say her piece.

Then she asked how he thought she deserved to be treated. Tommy took a deep breath.

“I think you deserve a man who’s gonna put as much into the relationship as you do. Who’s willing to go the extra mile to treat you right and take care of you. Who shows you that he cares about you every day.”

He kissed the side of her head and pulled her in to hug her. “You deserve to be worshipped and adored and loved for who you are. And you deserve someone who knows how to treat you the way that brings out the best in you, and satisfies your every... aching... desire.”

His lips found her neck now, his hands clinging to her curves. “You deserve someone who’s not afraid to venture into the darkness with you. I’ve seen that darkness inside you. I’ve seen how it brings out the real you.”

Why did he always have to say exactly the right things? Why did he choose to show her this side of him when it was already too late? Tommy was the man she had always dreamed of, but he’d been so far out of her reach when it really mattered. He accepted the freaky desires inside her and never made her feel like what she wanted was unacceptable or disgusting; he embraced every part of her wholeheartedly. Here he was telling her he could be that man for her.

Anna was already too broken to destroy a man like Tommy over her selfishness. She wouldn’t be responsible for hurting Adam with her love for Tommy and she wouldn’t be able to tolerate how badly her heart screamed to break Tommy’s heart with her relationship with Adam. She couldn’t bear it.

Even though his words were beautiful, so powerful and compelling, Annaleigh swore that she wouldn’t turn her back on the decision she had made to leave both men in freedom and peace and back away for good. It would hurt, but to separate herself from them both was the only option she had where she didn’t cause irreparable damage.

But to imagine a life with Tommy... it was a wonderful dream. The fantasy of her marriage to Adam had faded and Anna didn’t think she’d ever be able to see that future clearly again.

Every word Tommy spoke was only a pretty dream though, and soon enough Anna would be shocked awake.

Anna buried her face in his neck and the hot trickle of tears pricked at her eyes. She tried to take great heaving breaths to hold them back but she couldn’t stem the onslaught and she broke down in the arms of the man she loved with every piece of herself. Her hands clenched in his shirt and she finally found her words.

“Why? Why do you have to hurt me like this? I don’t deserve any of those things because what have I done but hurt you both? I’m ruining everything like usual and I’m so angry at you deep down Tommy. You don’t understand - I’ve been in love with you for years and you never showed any interest so I moved on. Or I thought I did; and here you go fucking everything up. Why couldn’t you love me when I was desperate for your attention? I fucking hate you right now,” she exploded. “I love you but I also hate you. Why do you tell me that you love me now? I don’t get what suddenly changed your mind after years of me dating your best friend and being Right. Under. Your. Nose this entire time but I just can’t,” she choked. “I want to but I can’t.

“I’m leaving him,” Anna admitted.

“But I’m leaving you, too.”

Tommy seethed as she announced that she would be leaving him, as well as Adam. He shook his head.

“No. You can stop with that bullshit right there,” he replied, sitting up away from her. “I had no idea that you and me were on the same level until you accidentally sent me that picture. You never gave me any inclination, at all, that you had any feelings for me.”

He stormed to the kitchen and pulled another beer out of the refrigerator. “I do fucking love you, because I finally had the chance to learn who you are, and see you for yourself. Things that you never gave me the chance to see before. I’m sorry that this revelation is all very inconvenient, for the fucking both of us, but you don’t get to just tuck tail and run away from us.”

He glowered at her, taking a drink from his beer.

“You can. And you will.”

Anna was stunned speechless. He was really passionate about this so she was sure that he meant every word. Still, she couldn’t understand how it wasn’t obvious how she felt about him before - Anna had thought she’d been pretty conspicuous in university with the way she behaved around him and her brash personality cowered in a self-conscious manner when he spoke to her at all. She had always been trying to impress him, but when that never happened, Anna had given up.

Now, she couldn’t believe that this was actually happening, but something he said still made her worry.

Her frown was even more pronounced.

“So you only “love” my body - you only love the things you saw in that photo,” she said, flinging the blanket off and rising from the couch abruptly. “You still don’t know anything about me other than the fact I have some repressed kinky bedroom habits, so tell me what you love,” she demanded. “When I say I can’t, I really do mean that I won’t. You can’t make me do anything. I love you for who you are, but you only seem to love me for being a slut and that shit won’t fly!”

Tommy looked at Anna. “Fuck you. You have been here for me during one of the hardest times in my life, when no one else showed up. And you think I only care about sex. You don’t know me at all. Fuck off,” he said, and walked away to his room. He grabbed his weed stash and promptly headed outside, grabbing his beer on the way, towards the back patio, slamming the door on his way out, not even looking at her as he walked by.

He loaded up a bowl as he peered out towards the setting sun. Emotions swirled within him. He didn’t know if Anna would come out to him or if she would run away. He wouldn’t be surprised if she disappeared on him. He took a long drink, and a deep hit off the weed, and lit a cigarette.

Anna steamed for a minute, angry that he would even suggest that she didn't know anything about him; she'd been in love with him for years! Sure, she was still learning new aspects of his personality, but Anna knew what kind of man he was. For him to be so abrupt with her...

But then again, she realized her words were callous even though that's how she felt. Anna might have thought the timing of his "love" was a little suspect, but he'd already demonstrated more care for her in the last several days than Adam had in weeks. He obviously did care for more than just her body.

With that in mind, Anna crossed the floor to the patio door.

She paused in the doorway and watched him lounge in one of the chairs as he sipped his beer and stared out towards the clouds for a while before hesitantly taking a couple steps closer. She plucked the beer can out of his hands and before he could say a word in protest, Anna perched gingerly on his lap sitting crossways and leaned in to kiss him softly.

"You know that's not what I meant," she whispered when she pulled back. "It just... still feels like a dream but the reality is that someone is going to get really hurt and by sticking around that just makes it all harder in the end. I don't want to leave you but I have to if I don't want to break Adam's heart. I can't be with him because that's not fair to either of us. Tell me what I'm supposed to do, baby," she pleaded.

"Because I don't know anymore. Please. Don't hate me, Tommy. Please understand -- please tell me how to fix this." Her tone was more of a whine, begging clearly for any solution he could offer.

Tommy moaned softly into the kiss she gave him; her tenderness filled him with peace for the moment. He listened intently to her words, her plea for help. He wasn’t sure what to say. His hand came up and softly caressed her cheek.

“I don’t know,” he confessed. “I know I love you and I want and that he doesn’t deserve you. Adam’s changed, and not in a good way. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stuck my neck out for him, helped him through rough spots... and he couldn’t bother to call or text or visit when I was in the hospital. And seeing, really seeing, how he’s been treating you... I’ve lost all respect for him.”

Tommy sighed, and kissed Anna’s neck. He squeezed her thigh.

“Just... stay with me for this week. Let’s see how we work together. Adam doesn’t seem to care about you, or me. He only seems to care about himself. The more I look back on the last year or so, the more clear it all really becomes. I’m ready to move on, get my own place, leave him in the past. I want you with me. I don’t give a fuck what he thinks anymore.”

It sounded like a terrible idea but it was suddenly the only thing she’d ever wanted. Anna knew that the longer she stayed with him the harder she would fall at the end of the week when it came time to say goodbye, but it sounded like Tommy planned to split from Adam entirely and that would still hurt her boyfriend but at least she wouldn’t be demonstrating her love for Tommy right under his nose all the time. They could be free to be themselves without his interference. It sounded so wonderful but...

Anna smiled against his lips as she met him in the middle. “One week. I guess that’s not too bad to promise you; we can take the rest one step at a time,” she breathed. “Now... I’ve heard there’s this thing called make-up sex and I’d really like to explore that a little more.” The invitation in her words clear.

Tommy’s eyes went wide for a split second in response to her rather forward declaration, and his grip on her body immediately tightened. One hand was on her hip, and the other slowly slid up her side. “I think that’s a very good idea.”

Tommy glanced around. The backyard wasn’t exactly private. Despite the trees and shrubbery, he could spy half a dozen different backyards and porches. No one else was out at the moment, but there were a handful of illuminated windows in the twilight.

His gaze returned to Anna’s eyes. He would give her what she wanted. “Take your shorts off, and get in my lap properly,” he instructed.

She hurried to obey, pushing her shorts down and kicking them free of her legs immediately. She only had a small purple thong on, and it would be easy for Tommy to just push it to the side and manipulate her body to his wlll. She wasted no time as she stepped forward and straddling his lap, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and allowing her pelvis to cradle his bulging shaft that tented his shorts.

“Is this better, baby?” She asked, leaning forward to brush her nose up the thick column of his neck. She could feel his jugular bounding under her mouth and she sucked a deep purple mark onto the skin there.

“That’s fucking perfect,” Tommy replied, luxuriating in the intensity of the hickey she was marking him with. He was in heaven. She rolled her hips to grind along his shaft, and he could have busted a nut in his shorts right then and there.

His hands slid up the sides of her belly, his arms catching her tee shirt as he did, pulling it up towards her tits. With a flip of both wrists, he popped the garment up and over, exposing her breasts to his hungry view.

A moment later, her tee shirt was tossed aside.

Anna practically dove into his mouth, kissing him with tongue and teeth hungrily. He felt so good against her but Anna wanted more; she wanted to feel his naked flesh pressed against every inch of her own skin. Clinging to him with one arm, Anna raised herself just enough to tug his cock and balls free of his restriction. When she sat back down, his cock sliced through her wet slit, nestled between the lips of her labia so perfectly as if it was made for her. There was still no penetration. Anna wondered which one of them was going to break first.

She moaned, the sound reverberating in his mouth as they made-out like horny teenagers. Fuck. She’d never get enough of kissing this man.

Tommy broke their kiss for a half a second so he could peel off his own tee shirt, and was promptly met with an even hungrier kiss from Anna as she pressed her luscious tits against his bare, tattooed chest. Their tongues rolled over each other, their teeth nibbled, their lips suckled on each other even as the heat being generated by her rubbing her dripping hot cunt on his rock hard shaft became almost unbearable.

His fingers dug into the flesh of her hips and butt, and he rolled her hips so her pussy rubbed along the full length of his rock hard member.

“Fuck, Anna,” he growled. He needed to be inside her.
