Lets all brainstorm!

Had the framework of a story I knew Id never write but wanted to put it to some use. (not so much give it away but hey, its in the universe now, I can't stop ya!) I was actually hoping we might all brainstorm our own ideas off it just to see all the possibilities of where ideas can go.

I am often amazed at how varied the ideas are when it comes to story ideas here but it seems often it is to solve a specific problem or struggle, not so much just to get the synapses firing. When you see a really great thread here, its usually not because some one universal "right" answer has been reached but because there are so many DIFFERENT directions people go even having the same rough destination and story framework in mind. Ive been so fortunate to expand my horizons greatly with these very types of threads. But now Im just greedy and trying to create the conditions that cause their formations. (RISE my Frankenstein RISE!)

Here is the seed I had available. Hopefully it is usable enough to get everyone brain firing but if not, I welcome any better notions to get brainstorms thundering. I look forward to all your varied and thought provoking ideas!

Seed:

Prestigious Preschool/KGarden offering limited number of spots.
As per usual, both parents are required to interview with the headmaster. Meeting goes well but these things are never certain.
Waiting period ensues, mom on pins and needles over results.
Decision day, parents invited back for results. Mom goes, child didn't make the cut.
In a last ditch effort, mom throws herself at the headmaster. This is not unusual and he rejects her.
He did, however, find her husband quite fetching. ;-)

Thoughts, ideas, themes Id go with:

Mom wants only the best for her child but at what cost?

Why her body is ok to sacrifice, not his?

How could she even ask?

Would he even hear her out or consider her a failure in her parenting roll for even suggesting it? (like she shouldnt even need him)

If he will, might her feelings towards him change?

Anyway, thats the sproutling I had handy. If pressed, Id admit to it possibly being a little pedestrian but as I said, at this stage Im probably a pedestrian kind of writer. So share the wealth of your experience and knowledge dear friend. More people than just I are eager to be inspired by what you do!

And most of all HAVE FUN WITH IT PEOPLE! Its an exercise, not an assignment. We all just want you to share what goes on in that lovely head of yours, honest.

I wouldn't call it pedestrian. I think in addition to hot sex, it could be a framework for interesting social commentary about both gender roles and what we value in society.

He didn't find the woman attractive but found the man so? Is he gay or Bi? were you expecting any Man on Man ?

Its really the brainstormers choice. I, myself, thought along the lines of he's a closeted (perhaps the school is advanced in studies but woefully non progressive in social attitudes) but otherwise normally gay man (the headmaster)

As for the father, again, it can be both. Or any in between. Maybe he's gay (hence a indifference towards his child as its not something he wanted), maybe hes bi, bi curious, or maybe not gay at all and just a good dad (obviously this flies in the face of the original setup but thats what makes it interesting, dad seems like the barely lifts a finger type but is willing to sacrafice his body just as his wife would have)

I feel like theres a ton of other options Ive not thought of nor could I as my experiences and thoughts are different than others. Its all about stretching my mind and hopefully seeing others do the same. Seeing the unexpected challenges and inspires me.

Furthering the headmasters possibilities...

He goes after husbands as he knows they have just as much to lose as he does if his "secret" gets out (even if the school offered forgiveness and let the kid stay the rest of the parents would assume his child could never have gotten in any other so while they're in the club, they are not really members)

Or

Hes become a power whore having had to decide the fates of the offspring of societies finest. He just kept having to push the limit further and further just to have any hope of getting any pleasure out of life/sex at all. Run a guilt angle if you so chose, maybe he falls for one of the dads and theres that complication or maybe just watching the slow destruction (he caused) of a family (remember he has to see them often and their kid EVERY day) causes regret

gets him off even further.

See, so many ways to go. Love stories, social studies, power games, all are workable and quite plausible. I just wonder what more could be done with it or how others would attack the challenges everyone's put forward. (Im trying to learn by watching others peoples processes.

Thank you for this. Ive worried a bit that I'm becoming a hypocrite (I'm finding it harder and harder to enjoy one "note" type stories) Whether I have the chops to pull off my designs, we'll see. Its nice to know at least my earlier steps in the dance arent completely two left foot-ish. Haha.

I think this is a solid idea: particularly the side of it that the woman would have felt okay about giving herself up, but feels a greater conflict about asking her husband to do this (especially if she knows that he's totally not okay with gay sex). There's some good tension there.
It's not exactly my genre, but the direction I'd be tempted to go with is that the husband understands, he realizes this is something he needs to do, but honestly he's pretty freaked out by the idea of it. She wants to help him and prepare him, so she buys a strap-on, and begins gently, tenderly, breaking him in, teaching him to enjoy the pleasures that both women and gay bottoms share. I think female on male strap-on sex tends to be a bit harsh and dominant, at least the way its portrayed in porn, so the tender, loving and sympathetic angle might be interesting.
But he's still a little frightened about doing this on his own, so she makes a deal: she gets to be present during the sex: more than that, she gets to bring her strap-on and participate, double-teaming her husband with the headmaster. And the husband is comforted by her presence, her familiarity and tenderness and coaxing, that he actually ends up enjoying the whole experience.
