Let it snow!

Iguanas dropping from trees. England a frozen wasteland. My recipe for fudge failing.

I tell you, it's the end of the world!

Add to that our three teen girls all waking up before noon, on their own, on a Saturday! It's definitely the end of the world! :D

No snow here today...but damn is it cold! Pretty to look at from inside a nice warm living room. ;)

It is pretty with a nice plate of homemade fudge in front of the fire. :D

With walnuts. Yum.

Walnut nibbling by an open fire,
Cross-dressed subby at the door
Whip time haikus being writ by a liar
And folks with floggers on the floor

And so I'm offering this simple praise
For pervs from eighteen to sixty nine
Although it's being said in lolspeak these days
Merry perving to you!

Snowman built close to my house yesterday.

Today it is gone. It started to lean from differential thawing and was helped on the way by drunken yobs after dark.

It hasn't been replaced yet. The Northerly gales have been too strong today.

What are the prevailing winds in your neck o' the woods, Og?

In the west of Ireland and the south coast of England, is it not the case that the westerlies prevail? In your location, I would expect things to be a bit squirrelly as the prevailing westerlies bend around the U.K. landmass.

As far as I'm concerned, the thought of a winter gale on the North Sea is the stuff of nightmares.

I'm on the North Kent Coast. Like most of the UK the prevailing wind is SW. However we get too much from the NE. North North East there is nothing between my house and the Arctic Circle.

And the wind today is coming from the NNE. :(

In last night's gale the wind got inside my greenhouse and blew two panes of glass out. Another job to be done when the wind stops.

Okay, I'm quite finished with this arctic weather now. The sun is shining, but the temp reads 0F. At this point, it feels like a heat wave. It's just fucking cold out there.

More often than you might think. A lot of it is Moorland and very exposed to the elements. At one time, Farmers needed help getting feed stocks to the animals in the snow (the RAF used to help from a Helicopter).
