Anybody here miss snow??

Taken out my bedroom door yesterday afternoon. If I had taken the picture from my living room, the snow would have been almost horizontal due to the strong winds.

Your picture of the snow is pretty, but I miss palm trees, white sand and blue water. A warm tropical breeze would be a plus.

Another snow storm in Montreal. And the city workers are on a work slowdown! Traffic will be the proverbial bitch tomorrow morning!!

Won't get snow here until Jan. more likely then not.

Tis great for the first 10 min, then I realize I'm freezing my toes off and get vexed over it and miss the heat of summer.

Oh BTW it was -21 this morning and with the windshield it is -37 (yes minus 37).

It's very cold here 23* with a wind chill of 13* at the moment, but no snow.


I love snow. I'll love it even more if it comes on a Wednesday in mid-January or early February.

I don't mind the cold and snow that much, expecially when we have a good amout of snow, and it stays below freezing, and the weather is sunny. Then the landscape can be very beautiful!

-37? Ever felt a -60 wind chill? now THAT'S bitchin cold.

But year. -17 here with no wind chill right now. We had the windstorm on Sunday - killed one person a flipped over a motorhome or two. Wind chill was about -40 or so, especially when it peaked at 98 clicks. One persone was actually killed in that windstorm when they were literally flung by the wind into a building.

well, the sun has gone down and the steady rain we had all day has turned to sleet. The bridges and overpasses are beginning to freeze over, and there will be a nice glaze on the roads to make things nice and slick before the 1-2 inches we are supposed to get tonight. It will make the trip to work tommorrow very fun

We just had about 8 to 10 inches of snow drop on us today. And are supposed to get some tomorrow too.

Argh.

So I certainly don't miss snow right now, I've got tons of it.

Speaking of snow, as I am writing this, we're supposed to get 30 cm of the stuff overnight here in TO. And then, get this, freezing rain the following day

i am already tired of the snow here. It's very pretty as it is falling and covering everything with it's blanket of white. The nasty slushy mess afterwards really sucks though. So does driving the highway 50 miles to work with a windshield coated with that salt spray as the sun blinds my vision due to having run out of windshield washer fluid. That REALLY sucks....
