Straight Women Hog the Sexual Assault Spotlight

"That's according to a Daily Emerald story from the University of Oregon, where last month's Take Back the Night event featured sexual-violence estimates of non-straight communities that make the unreliable 1-in-5 statistic look quaint." Anyway, the point is that the lesbian women on campus are upset at the straight women claiming they're assaulted because that that means that the lesbian victims are being marginalized and not really cared about...

... "According to the 2010 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, 44% of lesbian women and 61% of bisexual women have been victims of intimate partner violence in the form of rape, physical violence and/or stalking, compared to 35% of heterosexual women."

The problem is that the lesbian and bisexual women claim to be much bigger victims, and nobody talks about what happens to them, because the heterosexual women are hogging all of the limelight [and] attention. Whenever a heterosexual woman is abused, raped, assaulted, that gets all the news, and nobody ever hears about what's happening to the intimate partners of lesbian and bisexual women on campus. It's a big problem...

This is really fascinating because the main reason sexual assault, rape, etc, has become such a big issue to the media, politicians, and liberal establishment, is because its meant to show how evil and rotten men are, particularly heterosexual men, and to promote fear and distrust toward men among straight women so they will be less likely to marry a man or form a heterosexual family unit. The politicization of rape is ALL about femanism.

Its all about pitting straight women and men against each other, sowing distrust, and dividing the sexes. By that I mean the overpublicity and overpoliticization in recent decades. Its proof of women as victims of men and men as victimizers of women, even though the overwhelming majority of men never sexually assault anyone and the majority of women are never sexually assaulted by a man.

For lesbian activists to now come along and claim to be left out of all the hoopla, completely misses the point of why the hoopla exists in the first place. It will be curious to see if someone takes these lesbian activists aside and tells them to drop it, they need to get with the program. A battle between lesbians and heterosexual femanists over this is the last thing the liberal establishment would want as it shows that straight men aren't the monsters the media portrays them to be.

Well, no, it's because it's a thing evil and rotten in and of itself, as you very well know, liar.

NO. No, no, no. Simply put, rape is EXCLUSIVELY a male problem. When you hear about a rape, it is either a man raping a woman or a child - and therefore it is NOT politicized but just the facts - or a man raping a man - in which case it is a punchline about not going to prison. Seriously. That line about men not wanting to go to prison for fear of being raped? That's life for every woman in the world every single day.

But people's solution to the problem is to blame the victims because it's easier to do that than it is to tell the MEN who commit the rapes to stop fucking doing that and to punish rapists harshly. These men would rather just keep the bitches in their place and ignore what's a real fucking problem.

If women have to go on a collective strike to get rapes to stop, well, so fucking be it. I hope they refuse to get married, go on dates, or have sex en masse. Let the married women divorce their husbands, take them to the cleaners, and make sure those fuckers' only contact with their children is a monthly check. If that's what it takes to stop rape, then that's what it takes to stop rape.

No, the reason that rape is made a big deal of is because it's one of the things that EVERYone agrees is a bad thing. Even rapists agree it's bad (since a lot of them don't consider what they do is rape). Thieves, murderers, fraudsters, tax evaders... they all get to look down on rapists.

It's a great way to stir up controversy and get attention -as the quoted article points out, they are unhappy because they aren't getting the attention they "deserve". Whether that attention is in clicks to websites/blogs/Tumblr posts, views on TV, or shares on facebook statuses/retweets.

It's all about "look at what a splendid person I am for hating rapists!" All the while advocating that rapists be, uh, raped in prison. Then you get to be the extra selfrighteous person by pointing out how the "other side" of the political spectrum either is full of misogynous white males who don't want to help rape victims or are just using the feminist movement to advance their political ideals.

Isolated cases - and child abuse is far from an exclusively male problem. However, with child rape, it is still rare for a woman to do it to a child and unheard of for a woman to rape an adult man. This is why I call rape an exclusively male problem.

and you'd still be full of shit

you're contributing to the problem

women can rape.. and they do rape men.. just because they dont have penis, doesnt mean they cant do it

No, no, no, no. Women don't rape men. It's impossible. And to be frank, if a man told me a woman raped him, I wouldn't give a fraction of a fuck even if it were true. Frankly, I'm appalled that you would - you're supposed to be on the woman's side.

The fact is, if there were effective punishment and deterrence for all instance of rape on women or children, the problem would be solved. There is no crisis of women raping men. There is not.

Rape is impossible. A woman can run faster with her skirt up than a man can with his pants down.

Women CAN and HAVE raped men and boys. Simplistic example:

A woman ties up her drugged male friend. She gets him naked and erect. She is on him when he awakes up. He says stop, she doesn't.

Rape!

A woman ties up a guy and fucks him in the ass against his will with a strapon......in your world , this is not rape

a woman gets a guy drunk and starts grabbing at him, and fondling him, and coercing him to perform sexual acts he does not want to do... in your world, this is not rape

a woman fucks a 13 year old boy who is confused and frightened as to what is happening.... you would not consider this rape.... but I'm guessing you would if it was a man doing it to a 13 year old girl

you sir, are part of the problem

First of all, none of those things, except for maybe the 13-year-old boy thing, are rape. And even in the case of the 13-year-old boy, the most famous case is Mary Kay Letourneau (I hope I spelled that right) and whoever the kid was. And he fucking married her. The end result? Really, really hard to call rape. Insane? Sure. If it involves a child, I will call it rape.

If it involves an adult male who has the strength and ability to stop a woman from tying him up, to stop drinking because his female companion wants him drunk...well, he could have stopped it. Furthermore, when has that ever happened in the history of mankind? I just can't bring myself to give a fraction of a fuck on his behalf. I'm not concerned about a faint fart in the punch bowl when there's a giant turd in it.

No one can be that ignorant, can they? Seriously

Unable to give consent, refusing to give consent, and not mentally capable of giving consent are, by legal definition, RAPE!

I'm not ignorant. I just never hear about women raping men while I hear about men raping women constantly. Furthermore, I hold men to a very high standard when it comes to sexual conduct and believe society needs to do the same. So I'm not ignorant. I'm a hard-ass.

No, you're willfully ignorant if you believe women can't rape men and women! Hard-ass? No, dumbass!

I can't fathom it. Maybe it's a mental block but I hold men to the standard of "If you don't want it, stop it." Because I believe a man should be in charge of his own body one hundred percent. Double Standard? Perhaps. But a man has enough strength to get out of pretty much any sexual situation. As such, he should do so.

Furthermore, when there's a serious problem of women raping men, I might change my mind. Until then, this is what we have to work with.

When he's incapacitated, by alcohol, drugs, health issues, it's RAPE!

It happens
Time to realize it!

When he's incapacitated by alcohol or drugs, he shouldn't have gotten there in the first place. I suppose it's theoretically possible to drug a man with roofies and Viagra without his knowledge, but again, name me a case of that happening. Until then, we might as well ban unicorn hunting.

*head hitting laptop*

You're blaming the victim!
Stop, just stop.

Yet somehow it's OK to blame the victim in other settings? If you park your car in the middle of east Cleveland, is it not your own fault it got jacked? Sometimes the victim is at fault. Besides, victim-blame is as old as blame itself.
