anyhoo, i have an incredibly "original" idea for a story bopping around my head about the adventures of a small cargo ship say a thousand or so years in the future with a small, all female crew that occasionally share each other's beds during their month long journey's to the "colonies" to make a buck. you know, typical adolescent male fantasy crap that could work for both men and women if i can make it realistic.

the problem? well, i'm glad you asked btw, the problem is i'd like some ideas that might make this interesting. try simple and not overly elaborate. no tentacles, no overly weird aliens and no rape that ends up making people happy and i'll see what catches my eye.

i'm thinking of making the captian an older divorced woman with a crew of about 4 - 8 women plus some androids who are hardly characters at all. the ship is huge, but cramped like semi except much bigger. all other details are unimportant to you.

all those are very good, but the stow away one is something i thought of, but i thought of making it a woman. maybe a young, but lit legal, virgin trying to get off some seedy planet that the ship stops at. maybe she's someone important or maybe not.

At least one couple (two women) in a longer term relationship, perhaps open to the occasional third.

Perhaps one member whose chosen celebracy either for personal or philisophical reasons. Someone to "tish, tish!" the developing outpour of sex. Be interesting to see the verbal fencing between her and the other crewwomen.

Nah, just make her the daughter of a fairly rich corporate CEO. Someone with enough clout to make things difficult for the crew, but not powerful enough to get them shut down. Trying to get away from the pampered environment and see the real world.

Develop the at first they want the stowaway off but then bond in a "us against them" situation. Make the stowaway a bit of a clutz, maybe causing some equipment to break down.

Maybe give some of the characters certain kinks based on what they do for a living. the mechanic girl might have jury-rigged herself some kind of - erm.. personal massaging device of some sort out of inconspicuous looking tools and parts which she can discretley stow away.

Well, I was thinking for herself, but it could easily be used on others if the need arose.

Some ideas:

Have a security officer who's a total voyeur, spends all her time watching the others through monitors, and getting off on their adventures.

Or have a character who has a relationship with someone who's back on earth (or another planet), and they have a long distance relationship--I'd imagine that in the future, there would be some fairly sophisticated cybersex devices. Maybe there's a crew member who has a boyfriend back home, but when the neural-sex-link gadget breaks down, she turns first to solo masterbation, then starts to explore her bi-curious side.

I'm also fond of the mechanic with the home-made device idea that Tex thought of.

Twins are always a nice touch. Or the futuristic equivelant, clones.

Also, maybe have the first officer be a dom-bitch type, while the Captain is the more compassionate, understanding type of dom (playing off the relationship that the XO and the Captain tend to have towards their crews on ships as the Bad Boss and the Good Boss)

i disagree, but i do find that lesbian romance is not my bag at all. of course, i find all romantic type stories to be kind of blah. not enough drama or conflict. without conflict it isn't really a story. it's a love letter.
