How do you like this idea I have:
A gay indie rocker decides to hook up with a female fan while on tour. The musician is in her early 40’s and the fan is only like 19 and has never fucked a woman. Groupies are a cliche but female musicians don’t tend to have them, regardless of orientation. Idea?

interesting ideam but on what do you base your statement about female musicians not having groupies?

kd lang had groupies:

so does/did melissa etheridge:

Sounds interesting. It could also worked flipped around, where the fan is the lesbian but the musician is straight. Seduction happens when the fan reads the wrong signals and makes moves in private.

That’s also good. Like having the musician be super attractive and a straight ally but not queer themselves.

Not really my kind of story, but I think the basic idea has a lot of promise.

Assuming the story is set in present day and going with her age being in her 40's, the rocker-chick might have started her career in the mid-to-late 90's.

Kind of picture the rocker-chick being kinda lecherous in contrast to the fan's innocence.

funny, I'd go the opposite way- the young groupie is aggressive, the rocker trying hard to be faithful to the spouse back home with the kids, create a bit more drama.

That era makes a perfect sense for this character as a Sleater Kinney(to name a well known band that originated in that era) fan.

Yeah, that works too.

Maybe the young groupie is kind of an aggressive superfan with all kinds of encyclopedic knowledge on the rocker, her music and other female celebs that she may or may not have hooked up with.

I like this option too.

Of course. She likes women, a lot, in this scenario.
