Cole sat out on the back porch of his apartment, enjoying the tail end of a cigar and swirling the whiskey around the last remains of ice. It was going to be another Friday evening at home, which wasn't a bother really. He could see if his neighbors across the hall, Dex and Leah, would be up for something later. They could probably use a good night out.

Cole and Dex had been roommates during college, and the situation had worked well enough that they had kept the arrangement upon graduation. It had worked out very well, to Cole's mind, when Dex had started dating Leah two years ago and starting spending most of his nights at her place. The two had gotten married and moved in across the hall, and while Cole now had to pay for the apartment himself, a free dinner a few times a week made up for the trouble. Plus Leah had been throwing a few of her friends his way and while none of them ever really worked out, it had been an entertaining social life. For Cole, life wasn't bad at all.

Dex and Leah, however, had been having problems. Well, Cole amended, only one problem really. They were looking to start a family and a year of trying had produced no results so far. A trip to a specialist isolated the problem as a low sperm count, not a insurmountable problem but the young couple didn't have the funds for a medical solution. It had put a little stress in their relationship. It really wasn't a problem Cole could help them out with though, and he felt a little bad about being helpless. Dex would frequently use him to vent his frustrations, and Leah would use Cole as a sounding board when she thought she wasn't getting through to her husband. Cole was sure that the couple would work through it. Eventually.

OOC: I tried this idea earlier, and after an extended leave of absense, would like to try again. Looking for a female to play the role of Leah, who will come to Cole with the idea of using him as a trusted, and secret, surrogate. PM if interested.

Leah was desperatley trying to find a way to not get into an argument with Dex, but she was pissed right now! They'd just got into a fight and he'd blamed her for not being able to have a baby before walking out the door with a bag..He said he was staying at Richard's house tonight.

Leah grabbed her pack of ciggerattes and went across the hall, entering without warning as she smelled the smell of a cigar, she saw the back door open, so she went toward it and stepped outside onto the porch plopping down next to Cole with a sigh.

She turned toward him and asked him sincerely"Do you think he'll ever be Dex again? I mean no fighting and arguing, stressing, and acting strange sometimes? All I wanna do is have a baby, what woman doesn't want to have a child? Then he blames it all on me!"

Cole watched as Leah flounced into the chair beside him, obviously agitated and slightly angry, and listened to her brief tirade. He shrugged slightly as she finished. "I'm sure Dex will get back around eventually," Cole offered. "I'm sure things are just a lot for him to take right now, so I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into what he's saying. He's probably just feeling a lot of fustration and needs to vent."

Cole felt another twitch of guilt/remorse, it wasn't really an issue he should get in the middle of, yet at the same time he wished there was something he could do to help.

"Look," Cole said. "I know you two are going to get past this and work things out. There always options, just have a little patience." He paused. "And, in the mean time, if there's anything I can do to help just let me know."

Leah listened to Cole's words about to shrug and not pay attention, thinking that he was just defending his buddy's side..But what he was saying sounded troublesome for Dex to have to worry about. She let out a sigh and lay back in her chair"Yeah, you're right."She spoke softly

Leah had always had this wild idea that maybe, just maybe Cole would have sex with her and see if she could get preganant. I mean they wouldn't have to tell Dex, he'd think that a miracle happened, and they had a baby..but who knew? Could she really ask her husband's best friend to do that? But he was the only one she could go to.

She turned in her seat sideways with a bit of an uneasy look on her face with his words repeating in her head: "And, in the mean time, if there's anything I can do to help just let me know." She took a breath and then stood up and walked the few steps to his chair, then sat down on his lap. She lay her head on his chest and put her lips next to his ear as she spoke in hushed tones.

"You wanna do anything you can to help Dex and I have a baby right Cole?"

Cole shifted slightly as Leah settled into his lap and placed her head next to his. What was this? Leah had never been physical like this with him before, and it was more than slightly uncomfortable. Her body pressed tightly against his as she whispered in his ear.

"You wanna do anything you can to help Dex and I have a baby right Cole?"

"Well," Cole nodded slightly, having an useasy feeling on where this was heading. "Um, well yes, of course."

Cole would be lying if he said he never had his fantasies. But that's all they were, and all they were ever going to be. He couldn't do that to Dex, or to Leah. He knew she was undergoing some strong emotions, and probably not thinking clearly. Cole resolved he would have to do the clear thinking here.

"I want you. I want you Cole, I want you to make my baby. I need my baby Cole. Dex, your best friend, he needs his baby, give it to him, because you know he can't make him."She said seductivley.

Leah tilted her head sideways and kissed his neck gently at first touch. Then she slowly applied more pressure as she nipped a few times and then breathed her warm breath upon the moist area on his neck quietly repeating"You know you want to" before she began kissing his neck once more.
