leg shaving

Hi, I am male and used to shave my legs all the time.
I haven't for awhile now, I thought it was pretty strange of me shaving my legs.
But, i want to know, and just wanted to know how people who react to man who shaves his legs?
have anyone got any storys / tips. etc etc, any sort of help.

I think it's pretty bizzare unless you're a swimmer.

As for tips? Use a razor.

The only men I've ever known who have shaved their legs were swimmers (during the competitive season, to minimize 'drag' in the water), and transvestites (lots live out here).

If I ran into a leg-shaving guy, I'd think it was unusual and would be really curious as to why he's doing it. I like hair on men (except for faces), so hair-free legs wouldn't be a turn-on for me.

In my high school guys in swim team and football team shaved. One football team guy explained he shaves his legs during football season so when they tape up his leg, it won't be painful to take off. It was quite bizarre to see guys with shaved legs (football team) and girls with hairy legs. (Swim team, coach ordered them not to shave until the day before competition.)

My ex-husband played high school, college, and semi-pro football, so he'd shave his legs from ankle to mid-calf during football season because he had to have his ankles taped.

I can't say whether or not shaving the whole leg would be a deal-breaker for me because it's something I haven't encountered.

I've shaved my legs before. It was not because I was a swimmer, but because I was a competitive biker and thought the wind resistance would be reduced. I know a very small amount if that, but hey every little bit helps and I certainly was not alone at the bike races doing this.

Other than racing, I normally wore long pants so no one really knew. Kind of hard to explain in any case so I always feared a trip to my Doctor's office.

Shaving

Been shaving my legs for nearly 20 years now. No real reason, other than it feels nice and feels/looks much cleaner. Besides, body hair in general serves no purpose any more except as an environment to breed bacteria. Ever wonder why the hairy kid in high school was typically the stinky kid, duh. I shave my legs, arms, chest and pits. When I met my wife 13 years ago, she found it a bit strange, but, she is used to it now as she has never seen my with body hair.

I don't necessarily think that hairy=dirty. My husband's a hairy guy, and no way is he dirty.

Poor hygiene is poor hygiene, regardless of the amount of body hair.

Clarification

I didn't say that body hair = body odor. I merely stated that it does provide an ideal environment for bacteria to breed (holds sweat, dirt and such). Certainly not everyone that is hairy is stinky, for me personally though, I find it much easier to control body odor, even following activities that involve much perspiration, and I am in favor of many of those activities.

I shave my legs, but I'm going to be a girl soon. No one has ever said anything, but I'm not sure if anyone even noticed.

I had a boyfriend who biked competitively, and shaved his legs for that reason.

All I can say, guys, is that if you choose to shave, for the love of GOD, either shave REGULARLY or don't rub up against your naked partner!!!!

I used to since most if not all male pro wrestlers shave their entire bodies (apart from some keeping forearm hair or whatever) but found the whole thing uncomfortable with it against the clothes I wore plus a lot of weird looks from family and friends didn't help.

Only reason I stopped was because my girlfriend is hairy and doesn't give a shit so I figured I'd join her in this and stop shaving myself.
