Left 4 Dead (Closed)

Gritting my teeth, that wasn't the news I wanted to hear. I wanted to hit something, the ship was off course, we were nowhere near our destination that has gone dark, and I truly didn't know what to do.

Going to the chart table and going over it carefully, there was a small port by the lighthouse called, Eddystone. That's where the lighthouse was guarding. "Try to raise the lighthouse" I told Jackson, "We'll try for that port."

The sudden words had all of the eyes on the bridge turning to me in surprise. "We need to put in port. We've sailed all the way across the Atlantic and our fuel bunkers are nearing their end. This small ship isn't going to go any further unless we top off the bunkers." Indeed the storm and going against the wind had drained the fuel faster than we had dared fear. We had no choice but to put in to Eddystone. Slowly Jackson picked back up the radio and tried to hail the lighthouse. Fortunate for us there was a reference number for the station's frequency, but as he predicted, each hail was met by static, but it was static so there was a radio out there.

Allysn continued to be teased, her plush cheeks blushing red. She couldn't look at her friends as they smiled at her reactions. She didn't need to verbally confirm their suspicions, they could tell they were right by her reaction, then her hands fell over her stomach in a lovingly way.

Kassie snickered, "I knew it" lightly.

There was no doubt who the father was, but they were also surprised in themselves that with all the sex everyone was having, Allysn was the only one of them to get knocked up.

"I...I know this changes things," she said, "But please, don't throw off because of this."

"What? Why would we do that?" Kassie said, "We wouldn't do that to you. We care about you too much."

The port was only some 15 miles away, the seas was subsiding, but looking at the bunkers and then at the chart, the port was small and I hoped that it was small enough to escape prying eyes as the bow swung for the black shore, homing in on the bright flash of light on the horizon.

The sonar looked like it was back up and working for the time being, but then the screen went black. "Fuck, no!" Jackson said pulling back on the throttle so the ship would slow down. It wasn't clear if there were any rocks against the shore. We had to be careful. Jackson peered out the front of the bridge, the shine from the lighthouse sweeping across the ship as he turned on the spotlight. "Everyone brace for impact!" he said over the intercom, dropping the mic and gripping onto the railing.

"What? What did he say?" one woman asked Francis.

Francis's eyes widened. He looked to the women and pushed them against the wall. "Hold on! I'm not getting fresh, I'm trying to hold you in place.." The women didn't seem to mind but were still scared. "I think we're crashing!"

"Fuck! Alli!" Ellis screamed grabbing hold of her and pulling her to the floor and pushing his legs against the table with his back to the wall.

The rocks. There were so many. We honestly couldn't veer off like Jackson had wanted to. The ship hit the reef with a loud screech. Metal grinding against stone as the hull was torn apart. Water crashed inside. Ellis and Allisyn jumped up to avoid the water. I held onto Robert as the ship came to a stop right in front of the lighthouse. Everyone went to work as the ship began to take on water. It wouldn't sink entirely but it would be a loss.

"Save the guns! Get provisions! Hurry! We're taking on water!" Kate screamed holding onto the walls as the sailors followed her to the armory and the mess hall. They shoved ammo into their pockets, into the waterproof bags and grabbed guns as well. Kate loaded the guns and threw some over her shoulder to two sailors who were ready to sling them around on their backs.

"Come on ladies, let's get a move on," Francis said guiding the women out into the corridor. "Just stay within sight of us," he said, Rochelle appearing before them to help.

"Robert, I'll go clear the shore. Nick, Louis! Come with me. We've got to clear it for everyone," I said, taking an M-16 from Kate as the guys followed behind. I ran out to the front of the ship. The deck was taking on water, but it really wasn't that deep. The tide must have been down. "Come on," I said to the two of them, grabbing hold of the railing to jump overboard.

"What if there's a tank?" Nick asked.

"Then we're fucked, man," Louis said, following behind.

We turned on our flashlights. We scanned the horizon. "No infected.." I muttered.

"None yet.." Nick said looking around.

"I had a dream like this, once" Francis smirked as he looked at the women he had pressed against the wall. He thought it was just a thought until he saw their wide, uncomfortable eyes. The Pigeon rested on the rocks, the waves lapping up against it. There was no way we could get off of this. The crew began to abandon ship, but we weren't running, but taking things cautiously to ensure that no one was left behind.

All of the provisions were being dropped overboard along with the weapons and the crew gathered for a head count while several others went to secure the area. As I looked at the crippled Pigeon standing beside Louis, I could feel a hole opening in my heart. We had lost someone else. The Pigeon, while not a person, still had a soul and was our carrier that saved us from the beginning and carried us till now. I was heart broken to see her go through the war and end up like this. The ship groaned as its weight combined with the water was slowly starting to break it apart.

Ellis patted me on the back, "Don't worry. We made it this far."

It was of little consolation as Zoey and the others headed to the lighthouse. Alli wrapped herself up in a slick and stayed close to Ellis, but now they both carried a rifle and a knapsack, "Are we going to stay here?" she whispered.

"We'll stay where we have to until we can find another place" Ellis replied.

Zoey was leading people to the lighthouse. Louis gritted his teeth as he looked at the lighthouse. For some reason this place seemed eerily familiar to him, though this was the first time he's ever been to England. At the base of the lighthouse was a small cottege. There were windows, but they appeared to be blacked out. Not wanting to betray their position Louis went up to the door and gently rotated the old, wrought iron handle and felt it give meaning that it was unlocked. He nodded over to Zoey as they prepared to enter.

We had all of the provisions ready to be carried out as the Pigeon made one more groan, higher than that of a Tank as the ship took one more wave then rolled onto its port side and roughly fell into the water groaning as it went. I saluted the old ship as did several others. There went our home, our livelihood. Another loss for us and because I as the captain, failed to maintain its integrity. If we were back in the real world, I would be court-martial for dereliction of duty and dismissed from the service.

(OOC: If you were going for the throw back to The Last Stand survival map with Louis, I love it. :D)

I turned to Louis and nodded back. I opened the door and walked in, rifle at the ready. I wasn't sure what we would find, but it was uncertain if it was safe. But that was our job -- to secure the port for the rest of the family. I flicked on the flashlight and looked up the stairs of the lighthouse. There was blood leading up to the crow's nest. I looked back to Nick, who shrugged. "Just what happened here?" I whispered to myself.

I climbed up the stairs, stepping in globs of blood as I walked up. I heard a growl. I pointed the flashlight in the direction of the noise. A bald zombie, cuts across its face, clothes in tattered strips as it turned its face towards us. "I...it's a hunter! Shoot it!" I opened fire, Louis did the same. But the fucking infected jumped out the top to the ground below. "Look out! Incoming hunter!" I screamed to the people below.

Kate turned around, pulled the Beretta up as the Hunter was dropping down, ready to take down anyone. She pulled the trigger. "G'nite sucka," she said as the bullet blasted through the forehead of the special infected. It yelped as it came down, body crashing into the water as it floated there. She blew the tip of the gun, which made Jackson shiver.

"Remind me to never get on your bad side," he said coming up to her.

She smiled. "Oh I will," she said with a wink.

"Do you really think it was wise to scream out like that?" Nick asked pulling on my shoulder.

I was about to respond, but then we heard it. The roar of a horde. "Fuck, get down to the shore. We've got to protect them!" I said rushing back down the stairs, Louis on my six and Nick on his.

We got back to the shore when Louis looked up. "Oh fuck, that's a lot.." he said pushing a clip into the M-16, checking that he had his samurai sword ready to go. "Open fire!" he exclaimed as he pulled the trigger. Everyone else let a volley of bullets go into the crowd of infected. The infected were falling at a fast pace as everyone looked around. Alli moved behind Ellis who opened fire with his pistols. Francis was keeping the women back that had survived and Rochelle was with him. She had a fire ax ready to lob off any heads if any infected got close enough.

I opened fire, standing next to Robert. "Fuck, I didn't mean to call the horde!" I said, reloading my pistols.

"Hold the line!" I called to everyone. It didn't need to be said, but it came out. There was no where to run to except to the lighthouse itself, but the horde was in our way. We were dropping them left and right with our fire that the barrels were glowing red, but it wasn't enough. "Give me some Molotovs!" I called out. Behind me Allsyn cowered until she heard the call and started going through one of the boxes of provisions and found several bottles ready to go. Taking a lighter she lit a wick and hurled it towards our foe, but it struck an infected, bounced off and hit the ground without shattering.

Kassie saw the glow of the burning cloth, lined up a shot and let it rip. The bullet shattered the bottle and the flames swallowed up several infected. They riled in pain as the flames ate away their clothes.

"Keep it up!" I shouted to them. They were coming in closer.

Ellis swung his weapon against one's face and shattered the jaw completely. It staggered only to turn back, tongue dangling freely. "You're one ugly mother fucker" Ellis smirked then shot it in the face.

Allysn threw several more Molotovs. She had a good arm. The shattered bottles created a wall of flame. The infected were too stupid to stop or go around and went straight through only for them to get eaten up by the flames. That wall gave us some breathing space. "Head for the lighthouse!" I commanded. We picked up all of the supplies and ran as fast as we could, firing as we went. The horde was slow to respond to our move, but we didn't see all of them.

We entered the cottage at the base of the tower. It was small, maybe 800 square feet or so with a kitchen a bedroom, living room, and a stairwell leading to the tower, but now it was crowding as the Pigeon crew rushed in with their packs. Francis and Louis stood outside the door cracking off aimed shots at the infected that drew close.

Allsyn found a pipe bomb, hit the siren on it, lit the fuse and threw it. The steel bomb bounced along the wet, rock strewn field and attracted the brainless to it. Gathered around it they tried to rip it apart only for it to blow up in their faces.

"YEAH!" Francis cheered as body parts rained down. "That's what I'm talking about."

We thought the horde was done, but forgot about the special infected. Louis turned to go inside when something wrapped around his ankles and began to drag him into the darkness. "HELP!" the black man shrieked.

"Hang on!" Francis called out taking a few steps and firing his shotgun catching the Smoker in the face and knocking him back in a cloud of choking smoke.

Kassie grabbed him by the wrist and dragged him back in where Francis slammed the door shut and turned the lock and stepped back. Beside him Louis frantically kicked off the Smoker's tongue that flopped around like a fish out of water. "Get it away!" he cried again and again.

"We have to secure this place" I said, "Zoey, take a few sharpshooters to the top of the tower and check our surroundings and pick off the last of the horde. We'll barricade the ground floor and move to the higher levels."

One of the female prisoners that we freed was trembling in fear. She looked sick, worse than Allsyn. I approached and asked if she was well, only for her to blurt out, "You're all idiots" and stomped off.

(OOC: Sorry for the lack of posts. Haven't been feeling well. Had teeth work done and minor surgery on my face to remove a blemish within the last 10 days and just now getting back to feeling well. Runoff Elections are Tuesday so next post won't be til after then. And sorry for the short posts. Waiting for where you take us next. :D)

"Hell should one of us go after her?" Francis asked of the woman that had stormed off.

Rochelle held onto his shoulder. "No, she needs some space.. They all need some space. Go into the um...lobby area, ladies," she said looking to the other women. "Zoey and her crew will have it cleared in no time.."

Rochelle was trying to calm people down, but I was thinking what they were feeling. Our worst fears had been realized. This was a worldwide catastrophe and even in this new region, there are the same infected but they look different. Act different. More deadly? No.. That couldn't be it. If that was it, then we'd be fucked if there were Tanks. "Take the upstairs, you and Nick," I said to Louis. "I'll check the lower area where everyone else is."

Louis nodded. "Damn, our luck to find a house like this, with a tower," he said with a bright smile and cheery attitude.

"Oh shut up, you and your happy tone," Nick said grumbling. "I don't like it. Too many entry points," he said walking across the parapet to get to the tower. It should be clear but he wasn't too sure.

"Oh come on, it's not that bad.. Besides, there's a garden down below.. Should be fresh food. We haven't had that in weeks," Louis said opening the wooden door, shining the light inside.

Allysn sat with a painful look on her face. Ellis sat next to her with an arm around her shoulder, "You okay, sweetie?"

"I'm fine," she said painfully. It was clear that she wasn't. She was glowing.

I looked at everyone. The loss of the Pigeon was a painful blow to us. Worse, we were in a bad area. I didn't like it. The tower was huge and we could easily defend, but this place was not for us. It wasn't big enough to establish a base. It had a garden, but it couldn't sustain us. We could only stay here for a few days before moving on.

After a few minutes, Ellis came to me and tapped my shoulder, "Hey, Boss, can I talk to you?" Nodding sure we left the room to talk in private. "Listen, uh, you know what's up with Allysn, but I'm wondering, what if we can find a place we can, uh,...." his eyes looked down at the floor, rubbing his shoes against the floor. He didn't want to say it, but finally it came out, "What if Allysn and I leave the group and find a place? She thinks that with our baby that we'll get in the way."

"You're not in the way" I said, but his mind appeared to be made up. "If you want to break off for your own, then that's your choice. But, I wouldn't advice it for here. You're going to need a lot for stuff, especially for the baby. Maybe if we can get inland to a better facility and we can try there."

Ellis smiled and shook my head, "Okay, boss."

As the other searched the area, the tower appeared to be completely abandoned. The lighthouse was partially automated, but still needed people to tend to the machines, but whoever they were-they left in such a hurry that they left behind a fridge full of food. There was also a couple of small row boats in a boathouse on the north end of the small island. There was only a mile or so that separated us from the mainland, but we couldn't see it in the storm.

As Jackson and his buxom lover set up their radio and started to dial for any connection as Louis and Nick went up the tower slowly. The curved wrought-iron stair groaned as they went up slowly to the top where they found the powerful light still spinning. "Should we turn it off?" asked Louis.

Nick shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know how to"

Rochelle ushered the freed prisoners into the other room where they sat, but the other woman that left to be on her own was stupid enough to walk back outside to be alone with her thoughts. From up in the tower Nick and Louis found a balcony on the outside and allowed them to look over almost the whole of the island, but all they could really see at this time was blackness briefly illuminated by the flash of the lighthouse.

"I'm getting a weak signal!" Jackson chirped as he dialed the radio-search to pick up its location. "It's coming from the mainland to the north, almost 5 miles away." I was called back into the room, "Cap'n, we got something. It's an actual voice transmitting. It's weak, but it's there. We're getting a lot of interference from the storm." He boosted the power.

"Ahoy...hoy...this is the British Territorial...we're broadcasting on frequency 454.01. If you can hear this, send a response..."

"Call back to them. Don't tell them where we are, but tell them we're a group nearby and try to get as much information out of them as you can. If they're legit, then we'll link up with them."

"The Brits?" Kate lifted her eyes up. "Are you sure? What if they're just a bunch of assholes luring us into a trap?"

"We're in no position to argue," I said to her, "When the storm clears we'll head for the mainland and try to link up, but we'll make sure that they're legit."

"And then what, Captain?" asked Jackson.

Drawing a long breath I sighed, "We'll go from there."

I overheard how Ellis was talking to Robert. It was so wrong. We couldn't risk losing another member of the team. .We're a family. It wouldn't be right. I kept my mouth shut for the time being. I was certain that Allisyn would be coming to us girls eventually. I know they have a family to think of now.. A baby.. Even in this hell, it proves that there is life. And life will survive. .

"Hey! Look what we found! Eat up everyone.." Louis said dropping stuff onto the table.

"Where did you guys get this stuff?" Francis asked, pulling up a chair and looking over the stuff. There were a few cases of beer, but it was that crappy British stuff. . And it was warm..

"Up in the crow's nest.. There was a fridge and other stuff there. We just didn't know how to turn off the big light though," Nick said shrugging. Grabbing a bottle and popping the top, necking the beer.

"So far... We've got word from some military.. British Military.. Not sure if it's real or not, but what other choice do we have," Jackson said checking the coordinates. "Oh my god..."

"What babe?" Kate asked, looking at the map. She gasped and smiled. "Damn, I haven't been to London in forever! I wonder if there are any double deckers running."

"London? That's kinda far isn't it?" Allisyn looked up trying to keep her stomach calm. Now that we were off the ship, she seemed to be more at ease. She definitely wasn't barfing every few minutes now.

"Yeah, it's far.. For us anyway. With what we have, I don't know if we can make it.." Jackson said in response. "About 20 miles. If only we had a tank.. And no, not the bad kind.."

I looked out the window, down near the water. "Ellis... You think you could get that running by morning?" I asked, pointing down at a humvee.. It was an amphibious vehicle that could go over anything.

"Ohh shit.. That's one of those All Terrain military types.. I dunno, but I can try..." the mechanic said.

"Well, hillbilly -- get to it! Work your magic!" Rochelle said giving him a pat on the back and a bright smile.

Ellis went through the maintenance shed and found some of the tools. Most of it was for the lighthouse, but there were some of the right ones for this vehicle. He slid underneath it and found it in somewhat poor condition, but gritting his teeth he dug in and started to work his magic.

Drinking some of the British beer, Francis spat it out. "What the fuck is this shit? Why is this stuff warm?"

"That's how they do it" Louis replied taking a sip. He didn't like the stuff either, but it was better than nothing, or the tap water.

When Ellis went to work, I went around the lighthouse and found Zoey. I wanted to tell her what we were talking about earlier. I didn't want to see Ellis leave, they wouldn't be able to have a chance. "Hey" I smiled at her before giving a large hug, "Ellis wants to leave with Allisyn. But I'm trying to get him to stay. If we can make it to their Army..." I had other things to say. I couldn't get the right reasoning to stay around in oone place long enough because it always ended in shit with us being forced to run, but this time there was no Pigeon for us to save us. "We'll try and make it to the military. I...I pray that they're on the up and up."

"I think I got them," Jackson said rather excited. Picking up the receiver he keyed the mic and replied, "Attention...uh....military..."

Behind him Francis was laughing, "Yeah. That reminds of the time I told that dumb couple on the boat that I was the cops!"

"Yeah," Louis nodded, "But you remember the Tanks that came after that? One of them hit me into the water. I nearly drowned!"

"We got you out of there, didn't we?" Francis chuckled.

"It was Zoey that pulled me out of there. Not you."

"I would have gotten you out of there..." Francis continued to laugh.

I stood there listening to what Robert had to say. It made no sense. Why would Ellis want to leave? Why when we could help protect him? Protect him, Allisyn and their unborn child. "The military. We've dealt with Military before, well, the team and I. And it didn't end too well. They wanted to kill us -- you know, Francis, Louis, myself and B---" I froze. I looked down. I shook my head. I couldn't let the thought of Bill killing himself before we could make our plans; giving up when we had so much to look forward to, fill my mind. Now wasn't the time to mourn. Mourning had already been done. I looked back up into Robert's loving eyes. He seemed to understand my sadness. I felt a tear fall down my cheek. "I'm sorry.. So, we have no transportation except for the thing that Ellis is working on, right?" I started as I paced around a bit. "Would it be able to reach top speed and maneuver right? Y'know, if there happened to be a tank?"

Francis chugged back another of the British brews, a small smile growing on his face. "You know, the more I drink this crap the better it tastes.."

Louis chuckled, clapping a hand on the biker's shoulder, taking another swig of the brew. "That's the spirit, man! Glad to see you're finally seeing things my way.."

"Yeah.." Francis belched. "So when do all the rainbows and fluffy kittens start appearing before my eyes?" he taunted waving his hands in front of his face hoping to see some sort of a hallucination.

Louis's expression soured for a moment. "Man, I'm not on drugs.."

"*hic* B-but you take all those pills. Those um...energy pills!" Francis retorted.

"Those are to keep my black ass awake, Francis!!" Louis said his eyes wide.

"Easy there, bro-mos," Rochelle butted in. "Don't get too drunk, might need your two lazy asses on watch duty in a little while." She moved away into another room to check on Allisyn who was puking again, taking a bottle of water she had found to her.

Francis muttered under his breath. "I'm not a homo.." He watched his lovers ass walk out of the room, his cock twitching a bit in his jeans before he took a long drink of the beer, biting back the retching from the taste at the bottom of the bottle.

Louis laughed heartily. "Ohhh come now, baby!" he said, putting his arms around Francis. "Don't treat me so bad!" Louis laughed more as he had never seen Francis run away so fast before out a door.

*********************

"Hey sweetie, how're you holding up?" Rochelle said coming into the room, Kate and Kassie already in there -- one holding the bucket and the other holding the redhead's hair.

Allisyn looked up and smiled before retching again.

"Not too hot," the buxom coastie Kate said before taking the water bottle for Allisyn. The young redhead finally leaned back, her face pale as they looked to her. She handed her the water. "Small sips.." Allisyn did so.

"I've never seen morning sickness this bad before," Kassie said, putting the bucket on the other side of the room.

"Guess it's just something in the air.. We've been on the boat for so long, I'm finally getting my land legs back," Rochelle joked.

"I'm a man. I'm a man. I'm a man!" Francis started huffing as he went out alone. He threw the beer bottle away then yelled out, "I need to fuck something!"

"I'm betting that Ellis can spruce it up. By the size of it, I don't think it will be able to hold all of us, at least, not comfortable. You can ride on my lap," I smiled at Zoey. Together we went to a window and looked out at the dark night. The ground wasn't swaying, there was no discomfort in our stomachs from the pitching Pigeon. I missed the ship already. Wrapping an arm around Zoey's waist I drew her in close as we watched the rain fall.

"Wooeee" Ellis laughed, "Been a long time since I been under the hood of a good girl."

"A good girl?" a voice called out, "Last time you were under the hood of a girl, you knocked her up." Rolling out from underneath the vehicle, it was Rochelle smiling down at him.

"Hey now. I'm going to be a man and take care of that girl, and my baby," then he patted the truck, "and adopt this one. I'm turning into Brad Pitt!"

Rochelle smiled at his carefree attitude. Though she was here on more serious business. Allisyn's morning sickness was severe and the paramedic was fearful that there could be serious complications. Having no X-rays or other proper medical gear, this prompted Rochelle to plead with Ellis to speed up his work. The military might have the right gear for them to treat the mother-to-be, but Rochelle toned it down so that Ellis can remain focused on his work. "She's having typical stuff, puking," Rochelle said shrugging her shoulders. "It's typical. Kate is taking care of her, but I think this cold weather is going to affect her. How long do you think it will take to get this thing going?"

"Oh. You can't rush good repairs," Ellis smiled. "Boss always said 'Take your time and do it right or it's your hide." Had a good ring to it.

I suddenly remembered something that I wanted to give to Zoey. When we were preparing Bill for his funeral, I went through his pockets. I found a patch, a MACV-SOG patch that he might have carried in Vietnam, along with a crushed cigarette pack. "I think he would have wanted you to have this, to remember him by," passing her both items.

Ellis looked at the expression on Rochelle's face when he mentioned what his boss said. He pulled himself under the engine block and looked at the wiring. His hat fell off his head as a small bead of sweat dropped from his brow. "Rochelle, be straight with me -- is she okay?" he said trying to keep his focus on the work at hand, but his mind was shifting to his lover now pregnant with his child.

Rochelle shifted on her feet as she looks back into the garage. "She's fine, Ellis.. I'm keeping an eye on her for you. Trust me," she said turning to leave the garage. She turned to go back to the house and was grabbed around the waist. "Fuck!" she gasped thinking she had been grabbed by a smoker. Then she relaxed feeling the gruff embrace of Francis's arms.

"Come here baby -- I wanna stick it to you sooo bad," the biker said, pressing his huge bulge against her huge bubble butt.

"Oh come on, not now," she said, moaning a bit, a small smile crossing her lips.

"Then when, baby...I want to make you cry out my name," he said -- unzipping his jeans and pulling down her pants to wedge his cock between her ass cheeks.

She moaned as she instinctively pressed her ass against him.. "Okay, just a quickie.."

I rubbed the patch in between my fingers. Tears coming to my eyes as I looked to the skull insignia of the military group that Bill had been in during his time in Nam -- the silk threads worn but still in good condition. Then I looked to the crushed pack of cigarettes. I opened the top and there were only 3 cigarettes left. I looked up into Robert's eyes, my own hazy from the tears. "Why? Why did he have to go?" I said pushing my face into his shoulder, holding onto him tightly.

"I wish I knew the answers" I said softly to Zoey as she looked at the items. "Perhaps..." I wanted to say that perhaps his pain was too much, but held back on that. There was no way any of us could understand what was going through his mind before and during that time he pulled the trigger. What we had to do was remain focused on who was left. "But, he would have wanted you to remain strong. You were a team together, and we're a team now."

"The things I have to do for you," Rochelle growled as they went into a back room, shut and locked the door as she leaned against the wall, spread her legs apart as Francis pulled down her pants just enough to expose her cheeks. "You better cum inside me. Don't want the others to know what's going on."

"Oh please" Francis laughed, "They're too busy talking to each other to worry about us."

"Okay. Just...hurry up, 'kay?" she whispered before feeling the head poke against her holes and that smile came back and she spread her arms wide. Mmmm hmmmmm mmmmm

"Okay. You go here," Ellis smiled tightening a bolt, "And you go right there..." the rachet clacked away as he went from one part to another. This machine was neglected, needed a lot more work, but he viewed it as a good challenge. The apocalypse had made his skills fall by the wayside, but now he was under a carriage, he felt driven.

"Oh god. My insides hurt!" Allisyn coughed. "I...how many times have I puked?"

Kate was beside her, holding her hair back. She lost count, but this amount of vomit was not usual. But she kept her mouth shut.

Francis grunted, a wide grin on his face as he watched his engorged cock head disappear inside the tight ebony ass that he had come to adore and crave. "Oh fuck!" he groaned. "It's like I never fuck you at all.. You're so...oh f-fuck--- so tight.." He began to pump into her, placing his hands on her hips as he smacked Rochelle's ass. Her moans only causing him to want more. His balls slapping against her pussy as she pushed herself against him with each pump of his hips into her body. "Fuck baby, so fucking tight.." He grunted again as he slapped her ass, the slap echoing in the small room they were in. "I'm your man, right?! I'm a fucking man, right?!"

Rochelle moaned loudly. "Mmmmmph, oh god...Mmmmphhh, baby! You might make me cum like this.." she said reaching between her legs to rub her clit a bit, to add to both their pleasure.. "Oh yeah baby, you're the man!" she said her eyes rolling back a bit as she rubbed faster against her little nub.

"Grrrr oohhhhh yeahh!" he growled, his hips a blur as he went faster inside her ass, spreading her with each pump as he felt himself get closer.

I pulled back from Robert. "I know you're right. We have to look to the future," I said turning towards the house. "I think we need to go check on Allisyn and see if Jackson got the coordinates of the military.." I heard the cackling noise of a jockey and turned my head back toward the road. "Oh no.." I pulled out my pistol. "..not now. Infected?" I started looking around for the source of the noise.

Louis popped his head outside looking for Francis and heard what sounded like grunting. "Oh honey bun!" he called out snickering, quite wasted. He walked around behind one of the shacks near the main house, grabbing at his crotch. "Fuck, I gotta piss.." he said, unzipping his pants. He stood against the shack, near the grunting. "Francis man.. I know you're mad," Louis said letting his piss go.. "but you gotta know I was just messing with ya. Come on, we've got patrol.." He said stumbling around, zipping up. "Francis?" He said walking around the shack. His eyes darted open when he saw what was making the grunting noise. "Holy shit!! Taaaaaannnnnnkkkk!!" he screamed running back towards the shack.

The huge infected turned swinging its arm for him but missing.

"Tank? Did Louis just scream Tank?" Kassie asked inside the shack. Kate looked to Jackson who pulled off his headphones and muted the microphone. The grunting and the all too familiar roar of a Tank could be heard.

"Yeah baby! I'm cumming! Gaaaahhhhhhhhh!" Francis screamed out as he pushed one last time inside of Rochelle, emptying all of his ballsack inside her ass.

"But baby I wasn't there ye---" she paused.. "Oh my god.." she gasped, her eyes wide with horror. "We've got to get back."

"A fucking Tank!" I exclaimed. "Kill it! Fire everything you have!" I said pulling the M-16 around that I had, taking aim at the large infected.

"We got to get back to the others!" Rochelle shouting picking up her weapons and running out, pulling up her underwear and pants while Francis struggled. His cock still leaked semen and he wanted her to suck off what was left, "AH AH AH MAN! I hate tanks!" he roared shoving his johnson into his pants.

The tank charged after Louis who shrieked and ran back into the shack with just enough time to shut, lock the door, and back off. Zoey and I reached it just in time to see him do that.

"Does that ever work?" I scoffed at him while lifting up my rifle.

"I'm an optimist!" Louis cried backing into a corner.

"You're an idiot!" someone spat.

The Tank rumbled forward. Like a battering ram it slammed into the door and turned it to splinters.

"Waste it!" we all shouted at the same time. Rifles and pistols unloaded, but we knew it would take a lot more to do it. We couldn't set it on fire, it would consume the entire building. "Lure it back outside!" I shouted above the roar of the firepower. "Lure it back out and we can set it ablaze. This Tank was quite different than the ones we were use to facing. It still had the gorilla like arms and the dangling tongue on its tiny head, but this one appeared to be female. It had a bra on that managed to stay attached and expand to cover up her chest rather modestly. It had long blonde hair as well. Louis jumped out a window as the others backed off all trying to get its attention. It only needed to follow one of us and the others could swing around and hit it in the rear.

Kassie, Kate, and Jackson went into one of the rooms and jumped out a window, all the while shouting at the beast to follow them, but when they went out into the rain, they heard the unmistakable wail of a Witch. Their eyes strained to see the figure in the dark for they dare not to use their flashlights. It was only through the clap of lightning that they saw the pale figure slowly walking by no more than 20 yards away. Like the Tank inside tearing apart the shack, it was much different. It was wearing a cold weather jacket, leg wraps, long black hair and her talons were longer. "These things get bigger?" Kate gasped.

Francis was seething in rage. He rushed into the kitchen and saw the female Tank punch its way past him. "Hey! Stupid bitch! You didn't let me finish!" the biker roared and fired a blast into the back of the Tank's head. The Tank rapidly turned about and Francis' eyes grew wide as saucers. "Eep"

Francis turned tail and began to run but the Tank grabbed hold on him, throwing him against the building. "Arrgggghhhh!" he cried out in agony as he landed on the ground, part of the shack falling around him. He didn't move. He didn't get up. The Tank was inching slowly towards him, ready to pound him.

"Francis!!" Rochelle cried out. Tears filling her eyes as she shoved another clip into the M-16, pulling back on the lever clicking it into place. "You fucking bitch!! Leave him alone!" She unloaded a full clip into the giant infected, ready to load another clip. But she dropped the clip on the ground. She looked down for a split second and then back up only to confront a huge fist to her face as she was thrown backwards into the water.

"Light that big mother up!" Nick cried out as he lit a Molotov and threw it at the Tank.

"Don't care about the structures! Get the people out and just kill it!" Kassie screamed as she watched Kate take Allisyn and Jackson away.

"Keep going! Louis! Get Francis! I'm going after Rochelle!" I screamed out. Rochelle was floating in the water face down. She wasn't moving either. Bubbles were pouring out so she was breathing. I ran as fast as I could and turned her over. She was just knocked out. Thank god. If there even was a god anymore. I pulled her ashore and laid her down. "Rochelle.. Rochelle!" I said slapping her face.

"Francis!!" Louis screamed firing at the Tank. He was still quite drunk but he had to focus. He couldn't die now and he sure as hell couldn't let Francis die. "Francis you big biker fucker! Where the fuck are you?!" He screamed out. The next moment Louis screeched like a little girl as he felt something grab his ankle. He jumped back and noticed it was a hand. "Francis!" He lifted the boards and pulled him out. "C'mon man, we gotta get out of here. I can't do this alone."

"You're such a wussy," Francis muttered taking the gun from Louis and aiming it at the lit Tank. The huge infected swinging about as bullets were pelting and barely penetrating the thick skin. "Goodnight you mother fucker.." he said pulling the trigger on the shotgun. The shot hit the Tank in the back. The infected crumbled to the ground as its skin began to smolder into ashes.

Francis smirked before passing out again.

"Witch!" Kassie called out. The Witch began shrieking. Someone shined its light on her and the black talons came out as she lunged for one of the girls. "No you don't!" Kassie bellowed and slammed the stock of her rifle against the Witch's face with a bone crushing crack. "I'm tired of you! Just die! Die already!" slamming the stock of her rifle against the Witch's skull repeatly until the skull cracked and dark rich blood flowed out.

"Holy shit" Allisyn gasped in shock.

"C'mon! Rally on the Captain!" a sailor was calling out. A flare was popped for everyone to home in on. Ellis was nearly done with the truck, but we needed to go now.

"We need to put some fuel in it" the mechanic said. "And it could use some new spark plugs."

Nick slammed his fist onto the hood, "Why doesn't any of these vehicles ever have a full tank of gas?!"

Louis dragged the unconcious Francis to us and dropped him on the cold. Rochelle fell to her knees beside him, tears flowing down her cheeks.

"Ellis," I said to him, "How far will we make on this?" I needed an honest, no bullshit answer on this.

"To be honest, sir. We won't make it far. The gas tank is nearly empty and the sparkplugs are years old. I have a box of new ones here, but I'll need some time to put them in. Meantime, you guys can find some gas."

Looking about the structure of the living area was smoldering as the rain doused the fire. But there was still the maintenance shack.

"Oh no. No! No!" Nick fumed. "I'm not going to run the gauntlet again to fill up another damn gas tank!"

"C'mon, Nick, you got to!" Ellis pleaded.

"No. Fuck this shit" the conman walked away.

We don't got time for this. "Zoey and I will go and get the cans. As many as we can." We ran for the shack and came back with a can in each hand.

"Wait. You can carry more than one at a time?" Ellis looked at us with a questionable look.

"Uh, yeah sure," I said following Robert closely. We carried the cans into the shack. Then we heard the all too familiar cry. "Horde.. We've got to hurry. We're down too many hands." I said sticking the hand pump into the gas reserve and beginning to siphon the gas out.

"Francis.. Wake up.." Rochelle said laying her head on his chest. "Wake up.." she said. A bit of blood trickled down her forehead.

"Honey, we've got to get you taken care of. You might have a concussion.." Kate said sitting Allisyn down, who was yet again puking..

Rochelle brought her hand up to her forehead and looked at the blood on her fingertips. "No.. I'm fine.. I want him.. I shouldn't have gotten so mad at him. He was only having a bit of fun," she said fighting back tears. She ripped a bit of her shirt to use as a rag to wipe the blood she had left on his vest. "Please don't leave me.." she pleaded with him.

Francis was still breathing but he was knocked out cold. Louis looked over at Rochelle sobbing and became angry. "Damn it man. You better snap out of it. Your lady is wanting you to make it." He looked down at his tie. All tattered really with everything they've been through as a group. He loosened it, throwing it to the side, undoing his shirt covered in blood and mud. "We lost Caroline.. We lost Bill.. Rochelle lost Coach.. We're sure as hell not going to lose you!" He said slinging the gun around to his back and pulling out the katana he always kept sharp. He charged into the horde slicing off heads and dismembering bodies.

"Fuck this bullshit. I didn't sign up for it. I don't care. I'm leaving. Fuck this. Fuck fuck double fuck this!" Nick said stomping off, keeping his gun at the ready. He was far enough away but he turned back only to see Kassie running up to him and slapping his face, knocking him back a bit.

"What the fuck you think you doing?!" she questioned him. "We need every goddamn hand we can manage and you're having a hissy fit. I don't think so!"

"Hey babe, you're a nice fuck, but this! These fucking dark witches and female tanks.. Bald hunters?! Come on, you can't expect me to deal with this shit," Nick said turning around about to walk off.

"You walk off and I won't hesitate to incap you.." the feisty Cuban beauty said pulling out her pistol.

"Really? What do you think you're going to d---" he started turning around but he was stopped as she hit him upside the head with the butt of the gun. He dropped to the ground as she grabbed him by the leg and began dragging him back towards the group.

"Not today, buddy boy.. You're going to be punished for certain this time around.." she said with a grin on her face as lewd thoughts filled her mind. She grunted pulling him, not caring if his white suit got dirty or not.

I filled up 3 more cans and tied them together, ready to go. "This should be enough. The horde. It's going to overwhelm them. Let's go.." I said to Robert heading back.

Ellis closed down the hood of the vehicle and watched as Rochelle and Francis were loaded into the back. Kassie dropped Nick's leg as she stomped over to the vehicle. "Uhh..." Ellis started..

"Just have him loaded with the rest.." she said picking up a gun and shooting down some infected.

Ellis shrugged and grabbed Allisyn. He gave her a kiss on the forehead. "We're going to be safe. I'm going to keep you both safe."

"I know, but the baby.. I'm not sure if it's okay," she replied.

He held her close. "It's okay. You both will be. Once we get to the military." He helped her into the back.

As we loaded up the back of the truck and dunked gasoline into the tank, we formed a tight perimeter around the truck as Ellis took apart the machine and put in the new spark plugs. The rain was now coming down in sheets. We were blasting away with everything we had. There were shouts and cries as we blazed away cutting down the infected by the score. I stood next to Zoey, almost rubbing shoulders that way she wouldn't leave my sight. It was difficult to see now as the only light we had was from the blast of our weapons.

"Almost got it" Ellis strained to put in the last plug.

Francis groaned as he was tossed into the back. Nick came in with a pistol aimed at him. "Get in" Kassie ordered him.

The engine roared to life as Ellis eagerly slammed his hands on the steering wheel. "Alright, Kids! Let's go!"

"Get in!" I called out to the others. Zoey and I would cover them. The sailors all piled into the cab and into the back. Allisyn jumped onto Ellis's lap calling for shotgun. It wasn't what it meant, but the mechanic wasn't going to argue. Kate jumped into the cargo bay and disappeared, same as Kassie. As the truck began to roll away I grabbed Zoey and tossed her into the open passenger door of the cab and I jumped in right after. We were all blazing away as we went.

"I got a surprise for you!" I called out firing a few tracer rounds into the shed. It ignited a few of the left over Jerry cans. The flames quickly consumed the shed and spread to the adjoining building creating a horizon on the dark land showing all of the invisible creatures that were fixing to surround and annihilate us.

It was crowded in the cab that I pulled Zoey onto my lap. "Woo! That was fun!" Ellis smiled at us.

"Fun?" Allisyn asked. "That was fun?" Her eyes glancing back at Francis who was knocked out. Two of the women were missing that had been rescued. Nick was being held hostage by Kassie. Jackson and Kate were trying to keep the radio signal going.

"Well, in a manner of speaking, darlin'," Ellis said shifting the truck into drive and pulling away. The infected gave chase but soon gave up as the vehicle moved faster around the corner and onto a small highway. It was surprisingly clear. Little to no cars blocking the roadway.

"The Army must have cleared out on their way out of the seaside village," Jackson mentioned looking out the side of the vehicle through the small window.

"Yeah. I don't know if that's a good thing or not," I mentioned, getting settled on Robert's lap. The safety set on my gun as I put it to the side, getting ready for a long ride. "How far until their outpost?"

"I haven't heard anything lately," Jackson said putting the headphones back on and trying to communicate via Morse code.

"The signal should get stronger as we get closer. From what we could decipher, just stay straight on this for 10 clicks then take a right onto the smaller thoroughfare," Kate explained from the hand-drawn map.

"Righty-o, ma'am," Ellis said driving along, Allisyn laying her head back as she dozed off on his lap.

It was another close run thing. We lost a few, but we were in the mindset that it was better them than us. It was my first time in England and it was for Ellis as well as he was driving on the wrong side of the street.

Bouncing around in the back were the others all huddled together trying to stay out of the slip stream. We lost a lot of equipment, ammunition. But we were alive. That's what I hoped for. I wrapped one arm around Zoey's waist for a firm hug as we drove on.

The Morse Code was not getting back any response. As the dark road stretched on and on there was only the hum of the engine and occasionally the hums from Ellis as he rapped his fingers on the steering wheel.

"Let me up!" Nick fumed.

"No," Kassie firmly replied.

"I promise, I won't run" he said.

"I know you won't" she smirked.

"When we get there..." Allisyn asked first in a whisper then turned to look at me. "What's going to happen? I mean, to us?"

"They'll most likely put us into quarantine" I said. There was no point in beating around the bush. "They'll take our weapons and probably separate us to get any intelligence out of us and if we're deemed 'safe' then they'll release us."

She was scared more so for her baby than anything else, but she didn't want to be separated from Ellis by a group of armed strangers. It would be like the Fort all over again.

"I'm getting something" Kate said suddenly, "Yes! It's a response! It's in Morse Code, but I can get it."

"What are they saying?" All of us said in unison. We watched Kate as she began writing down the translation of the code. It was always good to have someone that could do that. When all other forms of communication are gone and this is what we've had to resort to, then we would have been totally fucked up a creek.

"Look for the lights? Yeah, that's what they're relaying.. Look for the lights." Kate's words made Jackson even look at her weird.

"Lights? What could you possibly mean?" he asked.

"I don't know. That's the last message. It just went dead. Just stay on the path we're taking and look for the lights.." Kate shrugged, looking back to the map.

I looked to Robert as we then both looked outside the windshield, hoping to look for something -- anything resembling 'lights'.

"Come on, baby," Rochelle said looking to her lover, laying next to him, huddling next to him as she started to doze off.

"No no, you can't go to sleep, Ro, you might have a concussion," Louis said, trying to rouse her awake.

"But I want to be with him," she said in response, her eyes red from crying.

"He's not dead, damn it. He's just knocked out. And think positive guys. The army won't separate us for long. They probably need us as much as we need them," Louis said, trying to keep the group happy with his goofy smile.

"Oh would you just shut up for once," Francis said, rousing up, his eyes squinting as he laid there, glaring at the black man.

"Francis!!!" Rochelle said throwing herself on him.

"Oomph!" he grunted. "Hi baby," he said putting his hand up to her head.

We continued down the highway, there was just darkness. Occassionally we would come upon an abandoned vehicle, but not the heavy congestion we were use to on the American highways. The 'follow the lights' command had us all baffled until, at our 1 o'clock, there was a glimmer, a series of flashing lights tiny and faint, almost like candles a mile away.

That had to be it. There was an exit that we took onto a service road. That's when the shit started. Now we were running into more abandoned vehicles, there were smeared shit on the road. Ellis slowed and we weaved in and out of it until a large white and red colored sign appeared saying in bold letters,

Warning! Military Base
Turn around or be fired upon

Francis sat up groggy in the back, but still had his wit and charm. "Fuck. Who are these pansies?"

"It's the military" Rochelle replied.

"Which one?"

"The British"

Francis laughed, "Oh? They have one? Why? What's to protect? A 100 year old bat that farts dust?"

In the cab I could see that Ellis was nervous. We rolled on past the sign, the lights were growing larger, there were many more, then came a flash of blue. On the road there came several men with their rifles out and blue lights shined on us.

"Turn off the engine! Step out with your hands in the air! If you have weapons, leave them in the vehicle, or lay them on the deck."

"Do as they say" I told everyone. "Don't give them an excuse. Remember, we're friends here."

It was a slow, painful process after what we just left. Our luck as soon as put down our weapons-a horde would come rolling in. "It's alright," I whispered to Zoey and kissed her cheek before having her scoot off.

"Hey! We got a pregnant girl here!" Ellis called out.

"Ellis!"

"What? I don't want them to harm her" the mechanic said.

"I hope you're right about this," I said giving Robert a look as we all unloaded from the truck. Francis was leaning on Rochelle as they both limped along holding each other up. Nick held his hands behind his head, not only because of the soldiers in front of us but because if he didn't, Kassie would have his head on a platter and not in a normal way. Allisyn came forth, she was a bit pale but she pinched her cheeks before hand to give herself color so they wouldn't think she was sick like an infected. Ellis stayed next to her as the soldiers stepped forward. Louis had a dark look about him. His mind turned sour as he dropped the katana on the ground along with the M4 he had been toting.

"I don't like the looks of this," he said. His usually happy attitude turned bleak as he squinted, trying to focus at who was on the other side of the lights. Kate felt the same way as she stepped forward with Jackson who still had the headphones on his head.

"Just drop your weapons guys," Jackson said even pulling off his headphones and dropping them on the ground. He had kept those with him since helping build the Pigeon. He used them for sonar, music and everything else he could think of. Now as they lie in the dirt, he glared up into the lights as the soldiers stepped forward.

"Pregnant? How pregnant?" one of the soldiers asked, lowering his gun and light.

"Pregnant enough, man," Ellis said shrugging not knowing what to answer.

"Alright. Everyone step this way. Leave your vehicle. We'll retrieve it later. I'm General Roger Johannsen. Single file. Who was it that we spoke to? Who's your leader?"

Jackson raised his hand from behind his head. "I'm the one here that communicated."

I stepped forward ahead of them. "This man here behind me. He's our leader, our captain." I looked back to Robert.

"Aye.. Good. You all seem healthy, but we can't be too sure. Our doctor will look at everyone -- ladies first, of course," he said, his British accent strong but able to be understood.

"My boyfriend here," Rochelle spoke up. "He has a concussion -- probably a busted leg too."

The General glared back over his shoulder. "As I said..." he paused gritting his teeth, infected groans being heard from over the ridge. "Ladies first. My base, my rules." He kept walking away, the gates opening for us.

"Baby, I'll be fine. You go get checked up," Francis said patting Rochelle on the ass a bit before leaning against the wall sliding down it to take seat.

Ellis looked to Allisyn before going against the wall too. "Go with Ro, I'll be here."

"But what if they try to take my baby. What if they try to kill me?" she asked, a terrified look on her eyes.

"All you have to do is scream, honey. I'll be as quick as that Flash guy from the comic books that Keith once got for $25 bucks from a kid outside a comic book store. Man whooey, that must have been a deal too. They seemed to have been having a sale or something that day in May. I don't remember but everyone was there. Everyone was walking out with the same one too -- -just seemed so..."

"Hey, could you be silent or something?" one of the soldier's asked cleaning his gun in the corner.

Ellis looked at him sitting on the ground. "Okay.."

Before we parted ways I gave Zoey a reassuring nod and a squeeze of the hand before the General took me and Jackson away to his command bunker. We got a good look of the inside. There were parapets with guard towers, heavy weapons and lots of guards. I wasn't familiar with British uniforms, but there appeared to be Army, Navy, Marines, and even Air Force there all pitching together to keep the base going. There were solar panels on the roofs, water collection tanks, and the place was relatively clean, but there were some splotches on the floor that appeared to be dried blood and some shell casings.

"Americans, eh?" the General asked as he stepped inside his bunker, peeling off his beret.

"Indeed, sir" I said walking in behind him.

"Where's your ship?"

With a sigh I replied, "Broke up on the shore."

The General sighed as well and sat down, his body worn. "Bad luck, I'm afraid. Seems we all have it. We've been here from the beginning. Had little contact with the outside. Hoped that someone like you would be able to help us find out what was happening. How is it on the outside?" he invited us to sit. We did as he leaned forward, placing his large hands on the table, fingers interlocked.

"I have to be honest with you, General, it's bad. The East Coast of the United States is overrun. Much of it is in flames. My crew and I are the only ones that made it out, as far as we know. We lost a lot of good people along the way."

"Indeed, sir" the General nodded. "We've all lost people. You've had contact with the infected?"

"Quite a bit," Jackson replied, "Seems they follow us around. We can't stop anywhere without a horde of them popping up."

"The same can be said with here, I'm afraid. Last night we took down at least another 100. We've been keeping track of our kill count. Right now we're at 53,595."

My eyebrows buckled. "That's got to be some kind of record."

The General smirked, "Yeah. Well, I'm not looking for a medal or anything like that. I'm trying to keep my people alive. Now, if I can get down to business. The reason why I've called you and your radioman here is, we had contact-briefly-with the World Health Organization in France. They said that they were working on some sort of cure for this infection. But, we lost contact with them a week ago because our comms is all kinds of fouled up. I would hope that your comms guy will be able to help us."

Looking at the General, it was obvious there was more on his mind. "What about the rest of us?"

"Well, I would hope that you would help us. See, we do need to send out a party to France, if we can reestablish contact..."

In the Aid Station Francis was laid down on a table while two nurses looked him over. They had to take off his vest and his shoes, all the while he was looking up at them with a beaming smile as dirty thoughts entered his mind.

For Allisyn, she was scared. Two other nurses took her into a room for examination. Her blood pressure, heart rate, all that was taken down before a doctor came in to examine the baby. Her eyes were wide as saucers as she laid out on the table.
