Leaving for a bit....

...I'm going to be taking a short break from Lit. I am now scheduled for 55 hours a week at work. On top of that, I have a business engagement out of town.

On a happier note, my daughter and I will be spending a glorious weekend cooped up in a hotel...we are taking a break from our busy schedules to spend some time together. This idea came to me out of the blue. I thought...what do we need the most? More time alone. How can we get that living with 4 other people? Get out of the house. We are going to pack one change of clothes (in case we venture out of the hotel...not likely)...otherwise, we are going to sit around all weekend in our PJ's and have a magnificent time brushing each other's hair, putting on make-up, and having a "sleepover party". I can't wait!!!

If anyone would like to get in touch with me over the course of the next few weeks, please do so, my e-mail is listed here, so no excuses!!! I will be checking e-mail...but I'm not sure if I'll get on the boards, and may or may not check on my ICQ.

Sammyjo sorry about the work load but hey the idea with your daughter sounds like a GREAT idea. My daughter is only two but I will have to keep that in mind for future reference.

Can I suggest a hotel with a pool? Kids seem to love that break during the winter (and I know Minnesota winters!).

I am also trying to cut back on work hours- a little easier to do now that I have good employees hired to help me. I have been home sick yesterday and today, and for the first time in as long as I can remember, I don't feel guilty because I know there are people there that can take car of things while I am gone!

Enjoy your time away. Sounds like a great idea to me with your daughter.

I already booked a hotel, with NO POOL...heehee...I don't swim...I might melt...LOL...actually, I went back and forth on the whole thing and decided that if we couldn't do it together, we weren't going to do it at all...maybe next time...I'll see how good I look in a swimsuit come summer. I decided today that we could go get our hair cut, see a movie, go out to dinner...I have a whole agenda planned, hope she doesn't mind.
