Leave the lights on......9/11

Nice thought!!!!

I was wondering about something to do that day. That might be a good one for those who died.

And, for those who lived, I have thought of sending a campaign contribution to Rep. Cynthia McKinney!!!!

She's from GA - I'm in VA. She's the one who asked what the administration knew, and when it knew it. And we still don't really know the answer, either....

Me, too, but I love to travel. I check out a couple of political weblogs from time to time. That's where I learned of her, and is the motivation for this current AV and caption!!!!

It's worth it listening to everyone's opinions on different
topics, whether agree or disagree......

True!!!

It is also necessary to study history to be sure we are not making the same mistakes over. Most have been made before, too!!!

I think is is important to take part in doing our part for those who are alive and those who passed on.

Into The Fire

Hey jen darlin'..thought this might inspire some for September 11th:rose:

The sky was falling and streaked with blood
I heard you calling me, then you disappeared into the dust
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need your kiss, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire

May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love

May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love bring us love

You gave your love to see, in fields of red and autumn brown
You gave your love to me and lay your young body down
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need you near, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire

May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love

May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love bring us love

May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love bring us love

It was dark, too dark to see, you held me in the light you gave
You lay your hand on me
Then walked into the darkness of your smoky grave
Up the stairs, into the fire
Up the stairs, into the fire
I need your kiss, but love and duty called you someplace higher
Somewhere up the stairs, into the fire

May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love bring us love...

May your love bring us love

I agree.........talking about those who died keeps their
memories alive......talking about those who are alive
and/or who helped out w/ rescue, etc. is important......
talking about our love for this country is important......about
peace, love, and happiness.......

The city of Portland, OR has already gotten donations together--sending foodstuffs and items that can be used by the shelters...plus sizeable monetary contributions to both the policeman's and fireman's relief funds there. (I have already sent my check for it.) They will never be forgotten here--indellibly impressed upon my mind! I also think that our lady mayor is giving them a commemorative plaque of some type too--will have to reasearch that further.

Sexy has a great idea...wear the red, white, and blue plus fly Old Glory proudly! They are gone, but NOT forgotten--and never will be!
