Laurel, Why can't I change my 'location' on my profile?

Anyway... Upon looking over my profile, I've noticed that instead of clicking on the "profile" icon, you must go to the new scripts format. (To be found in "Author's Hang Out" where Laurel had her announcement about the new scripts.)

I'm having the same problem....I put it in, hit update profile....but then when I get back it has disappeared.

Mine has always been blank...I have never been able to get anything to show up over there.

Okay...it worked that time Tiggs....but where did my picture go??? I uploaded one...it isn't on my member profile......or on the one here....if anybody finds it floating around could ya let me know.....little black dress....tattoo on inside right ankle...no head.

I do know that if you had an account before we switched over to this new BB software, you may have difficulty changing your location ut it can be done. You must use the script "edit profile" link, which is posted by me in the "Author Hangout". You can't do it through your BB profile edit. Either way, email me with a description of the problem and I'll do what I can to help y'all out.

As far as the pics, those won't show up on the BB profile. Once we launch the new scripts, you'll be able to see your pic in your member's profile on the site proper. Eventually, we hope to make the pics available on the BB profile, but right now we just need to get the scripts up and running.

IMPORTANT: If you're an author or already have a profile that contains a bio & pics, but your profile on the new site does not reflect this, do not panic. We are busily transferring over all that info, one author at a time, one story at a time, by hand. When the scripts are launched, all your stuff will be there.

I just read what I wrote, and am not convinced I'm being very clear. So, I'll try to explain...

The new scripts make it so that the site proper and the BB use the same database. Therefore, if you have a BB account, your name and password will be the same for the site and the BB. All those with BB accounts will be listed in the "Member Profiles" area on Literotica. Everyone with a story or poem submission will be listed in the "Author's Index". All the bio info, etc. will be the same for the BB and the site itself. Currently, the BB is set up only to show certain parts of that info, omitting things such as submission titles, your profile pic, etc. Eventually, we want to make it so when someone clicks on your profile from the BB, it takes them to the same page as someone who clicks on your profile from the Lit Member's area.

None of this will make much sense until we launch the new scripts. You can all submit to them right now (and by doing so, you're helping us get them up and running), but they won't show up on the site for a couple of weeks.
