Laurel - Stolen Lit Story - Tara on a Tear

THANKS DIXON

I tried to notify LUVNTHOTS about it but she may have changed her email address.

Thanks, Laurel.

If anyone else would like to send them a complaint you can e-mail them here: http://concept-q.com/en/cweb/10/0.html

I got a better idea, DCL. Alot of us should post in their message board about them stealing Lit stories and fuck up their online ratings. Hell, maybe Siren can even scare them with some legal terms.

Nothing of mine was taken. I think. So either
(a) i don't write well enough for them to bother stealing it, or
(b) they've got no interest in hardcore bdsm stories.

Hmmm...
eeney meeney miney moe...

Same here. I didn't see any listings for interracial stories. So I guess that's why none of mine were stolen.

Thank goodness Laurel got it worked out. Even though my stories (a whopping two) weren't taken, I still felt very angry about other stories from this site taken. Is it because it's a sense of family? Who knows, but I was furious.

LOL That's always my first reaction too. But, here's my take...

The reason Laurel is able to always get so quick action on things like this is because she approaches these situations professionally. Advertisers and Hosts respect her e-mails, and are happy to oblige her requests when one of their clients misbehaves. Every time this has happened the site has come down within a day. I don't EVER want to give Laurel or Literotica a thuggish, bullying reputation. Why mess with success? You get more flies with honey, and all that, right?

Hmn. Why would somebody go to the bother of uploading all those stories and not even properly steal them (change the name of the author)? My two theories:

1) Industrial espionage - the Dutch site wanted a bunch of free stories and didn't think they'd get caught.
2) Conspiracy theory - someone with spiteful feelings towards Literotica or Laurel thought they could do a bit of damage to Lit by making the authors feel that their stories aren't safe here.

I just think someone wanted to get a site going (it's only been up a couple of months) and needed content pronto, and was able to hoist, en masse, Literotica's old story cache. It would have been too much trouble to go in and change the author names on some 500 stories. The web master probably hoped no one would notice. And, besides, like I said earlier, people honestly think there's nothing wrong with it. When it comes to writing and music it's just, ya know, like, okay to use it and stuff, isn't it?

That makes more sense. I haven't checked but they seem to have used the Roger Simian stories (over a year old) and not the more recent Mr Tzara ones.
