Laurel Question: posting illustrated stories

I've got a new story almost whipped into submission shape. It's an illustrated story.

To make it easiest on those who actually do the work of posting, Laurel, how should i indicate where, exactly, i want the pics to be placed in the body of the story?

Right now, in my Word2000 prog, the places are marked in red 18 pt type with the name of the pic. I'm pretty sure that's not gonna transfer when i submit it to Lit.

Simply send the story to me attached to an email along with the photos. Wherever you wish there to be a photo, place the note "[insert (picname) here]" or something like that. Make a note at the top of the story so I know to look for those notes.
