Some other sites have install a program onto your computer that hides there and calls pop-ups when you're online.

There are programs that you can download to find them.

Do a search on here for spyware.

This is the only dodgy (pervy site) I know. I don't read any of the pervy its just that I'm addicted to BB's.

The only other applications running are Word, Excel, and 2 desi message boards with only clean stuff (i.e. religious, relationship debates etc).

You're also connected to your ISP. They could be sending advertising. And if you have any IM clients like Yahoo they send garbage too.
