for me latex feels too artificial (i know it's partly a natural thing)
and leather feels more alive (can't think of a better word to describe the feeling)
maybe it's because cows (or any other animals whose skins are taken) are closer related to us than the plants latex comes from? i don't know - it's just a thought

Lol. There is no RIGHT answer ...it's just a matter of preference ...and no justification needed - but I know what you mean and I do like your thought patterns
For me I like both ...and silk and nylon and PVC ...there's a time and a place for everything ...including just bare skin

for collars and cuffs and such definitely leather though

I have to agree with you there Anja ...you can't beat a nice simple wide black leather collar with a nice shiny ring in the front! ...although I do also like a nice heavy metal collar - I love it's 'un-yieldingness'

would the metal collar has some leather lining inside? i like the feel of metal on bare skin too but the edges of metal can scratch and scrape skin and i not always like that

A decent well made metal collar should be smooth with no rough edges
