Lately I've been thinking about dancing.

I used to go dancing all the time, and I loved it. The whole atmosphere (except for the incessant smoke), the music, the lights, the alcohol, the possibilities...

And now I haven't gone in over a year. Granted I was pregnant most of that year, but still.

Anyway I think it's time I get back out onto the dance floor and have a blast.

What about you? Do you dance? *Will* you dance under the right circumstances?

Cleo, I am a very good dancer. Just come over to my neck of the world and I'll take you out!

I'm not much of a dancer, but I've been dancing at my computer alot lately...I've not felt this consistantly happy since high school.

Let me dance a good mambo with a good partner and I am in heaven.:D

I love to dance, but I cant do it in public unless I've had a LOT to drink. I'm too self conscious.

Actually, sometimes I'm too paranoid to do it at home either. I have this paranoid fear that someone will look in my house when they are passing by and see me. I know...it's silly

Johnny, you are *always* happy. One of the things I most admire about you!

But, computer dancing is just *not* the same!

The trick is finding a good partner! The best I ever had was my dance instructor at college, shame she was a "she"!!

And I really like your sig line quote, especially in these times.

Nike, no! Say it ain't so! I can't imagine being too self-conscious to dance. But then again, I've had years of formal training, and it's pretty much in my blood so....it's a given that I'd feel comfortable.

Here's a little hint. Two, actually. First is, smile. Look like you're having fun. Too many people worry about their steps, moves, etc, and end up looking like they're in pain, and it's a turn-off.

Second, is, no one really *is* watching you in a dance place. They're usually all worried about themselves! So let loose and have a ball.

But, I wil let you lead. Dancing, that is. ;)

Reminds me - I had another thread I wanted to start about dominant women. hmmm

Oh yeah!!! Put me down for good old break out the boots dancin ;)

Growing up my folks always took us to the local VFW hall for the Fireman's Ball (hence my fascination with firemen i think) but also my love for good country dancing. (no---not the kind they do in Texas that's just city boys trying on new boots :D

The good old Cowboy Bar and I were best friends during college. The table tops were just a bit too small, that and I got kicked out a couple of times for pouring beer on the floor and having a good ol' sliding fest ;)
