Lasharaloo Proves Me Wrong

Hi folks. Apparently the user known as Lasharaloo (however that is spelled) decided to delete her/his post that was the beginning of a very active thread. This caused the whole thread to go bye-bye. The ability to delete your own post is an option that I had turned on, in case users double posted or changed their mind. What I didn't consider is that someone would be mean enough to delete their thread-starting-post when other users had spent a lot of time and effort responding to that initial post. When the first post in a thread is deleted, the whole thread goes with it. Because of this, and because I do not like my work being removed without my permission, I have disabled the ability of users to delete their own posts - you can still edit your post, and, if you really want to, you can remove all of the text from the post, but you can no longer remove the post from the site. As always, you can simply email Laurel if you need a post removed for some reason, but we will not remove the first post in a thread, because it is not fair to everyone who posted after you. Sorry for the missing thread(s) that Lasherlaroo deleted, it won't happen again. You can blame me for this one, I fucked up!

Sorry everyone - now you know why Laurel handles all the tough stuff around here!

Hey, it happens. Life is a learning experience (at least for some of us). Maybe there's a way to make the delete option conditional, i. e., not the beginning post of a thread.

I think MADDOG should get credited with 8 more posts. I can verify. BTW, MADDOG, here's what Softly said about you ...

BTW, Dixon had an abolutely brilliant response to this issue, for those who missed it, and then Softly ragged on him because he didn't have as many story lines as her. I made the point that I probably have more material published on Literotica than anyone and I think she is full of shit in that there is no correlation whatsoever between stories and intelligent comment on the BB.

Oh yeah, I do have a record of this thread and I could recreate it if I felt like it, which I don't, at least not at the moment. It is so full of venom and mindless drivel, particularly on the part of Softly, I don't really care to read anymore about it. Just puts me in a nasty mood.

Sammyjo, I think you hit the nail on the head when you said, "Lashralooo, you must be one of our more intelligent regulars." I think Lashralooo deleted this thread because he/she didn't like the direction it took. The initial story that "we are a group of university students doing a study of sex sites for a pychology course" was most likely total BS. Yeah right, and wouldn't alumni, parents, etc., just love to hear the students are being encouraged to surf for porn. Doh! (It's "doh" not "duh" Softly. Don't you watch the Simpsons?)
