Laurel I lknow that I've been away for a wile and I like the new board and all.. BUT I have noticed one lil prob with it.. (other then not being able to log in and out at a friends computer) it's the having to log out and then log back in and starting from the BB and then trying to find what you wanted to post on then forgetting what you wanted to post..

I know it sounds like a Bitch post and it is, and I appologise for that.. I just miss the conviniance of just typing in my name and password in the post box and going from there instead of having to log out and log in and start from the begining every time you do so..

NS - I agree, that could definitely be annoying. I'll check into what we can do to make it simpler to post, and get back to you all when I have more info. ;)

Nice to see you back!

I must be doing something right for once...

I just gp to Literotica which gives me a friendly "Welcome back p_p_man..." greeting and tells me if I have any new PMs, then I choose Bulletin Boards from the menu and usualy the General Board from the second menu.

When I leave I just go directly to my Home Page.

I don't have any trouble at all and...

I don't have to log out or in...should I be doing that?

i don't have to log in and out either, p_p_man, and come here to a greeting similar to that which you get. i've been curious why it seems so uncomplicated in the face of complications for so many others, too (although i don't want to look the proverbial gift horse in the mouth). glad i'm not alone.

the problem is for people with multiple users in a household or multiple user names for one person

the new system makes it hard for them

for example for me to use bobtoad I have to jump a bunch of hoops

Okay... ahem...

I got the following info as a PM from a Lit member who didn't want to post with thier own name tonight and didn't want to go the unregistered route either, but did want to give us this info.

I am a conduit, i suppose. In any case, this is info germane to the discussion so here it is:

"Logging in and out...

As long as I don't press the "Logout" button, I do not have to log back in each time I come and go from the site. However, earlier I cleaned out my "cookies" folder and found I had to log back in. I know by the place where you log in it says something about "not cookied," so I suspect it has something to do with people deleting their cookies each time they leave their computer. I know I have a friend who delets everything in "temporary internet files" and "cookies" each time they leave the computer so their significant other can't retrace their steps.

Again, feel free to post if it sounds as if this is a possible explanation for the problems some people are having. I don't really feel comfortable posting under my name tonight for various reasons, but don't want to do the "unregistered" bit."

NS,

Once I discovered that I could work around this new system (which still befuddles me) I bookmarked Lit BB. I never go through to anything other, I've never had to sign in or out.

Can't you bookmark your sites?

I don't think I have to deal with cookies. I scroll down favorites & TADA, Lit BB comes up.

I've just remebered...

...on my preferences I checked the box for automatic log in every time I come to Lit.

Maybe that's why I have no trouble...

God...I'm getting a headache...as long as it works...

Just off to strap an asprin to my forehead!
