I've lived here over a decade, and I have yet to hear one positive comment about local law enforcement. I have many friends who went to school with would-be officers, and they all say they carry the same characteristic: they were bullies back then, and they're bullies now. The good cops are easily outnumbered by some of the dumbest and most power-trippy people they know. This asshole who's murdering people is probably just like the rest of them - that's most likely why he was attracted to the position. He's just taking advantage of and killing cops rather than civilians. If he hadn't been ousted, he probably would've eventually succumbed to the same corruption the rest of L.A.'s police force is legendary for. He's a weak fucker.

I dealt with a Cop Killing ordeal when I first moved to Fort Lauderdale years ago. I went for my typical power bike ride just after dark when it was cooler outside and came across people waving at me to stop about a mile away from the scene. Killed my music and they told me a cop had been shot and to not go any further. So I walked my bike a few blocks to an intersection and there were orange cones and cops and everything you can imagine in that scenario. I only had my apt. keys, my ID which I always ride with, Chapstick and my music.

Got stuck waiting it all out until nearly dawn at a Denny's and then escorted back inside my apt. by a cop waving his flashlight around my apt. and telling me I was OKAY.

Bitch please, I wasn't okay. I was freaked out with the helicopters overhead until the next day.

Cop Killers do NOT get justice. I think they even drove in cops from Tampa, Orlando and maybe even Atlanta to find him.
