Lakota Moon...a question for you....

Did you choose your name because you are interested in Native American history or books? The reason I am asking is because there was a Lakota Sioux Tribe in South Dakota in the United States.

Hope you don't mind my asking, I'm just very curious.

The First Nations

No, sure I don’t mind!

Yes, this is pretty much it. It all started when I was an early teen. I was/am deeply fascinated by the history and the culture of the First Nations of North America. Back then and now.

Read truckloads of books about the topic, ran to see every movie available. Although there were few worth to mention. YES, including “Dances with wolves”. There ist also a movie called "Lakota Moon". A friend of mine said it would be the perfect nik for me, so I choosed it.

I had a feeling that was the case. What I find most interesting is how these people traveled from place to place without any help from the modern technology we have today. They did it all with the help of the moon, the sun, the stars, and wind direction. Their way of life, as we know it, was most complex and very much a rational way of being. In all fairness to the modern world, sometimes I think it would be much more simple if we went back to some of those basic ways of living. Their beliefs in certain herbs, and prayers brought about many healings. It's quite fascinating to me.

This is a difficult question.
I think we should respect the history and the knowledge of the First Nations (not just in America, worldwide) and find a way of coexistence. Participation. Hard to find. A political, philosophical thing.
