Leonard "Leo" Eschelson is a 29 year old criminal prosecutor living in New York City. In the four years since he passed his bar exam and joined the DA's office, he has made quite a name for himself as an up and coming young lawyer. Very recently he transferred to the Investigation Division and helped secure a guilty verdict in the trial of mob boss John Samoni.
Now, Leo is pulled away from his lavish big city life when he receives a call from his eighteen year old sister -- their father has suffered a major heart attack and is in critical condition. Their mother had already passed away years prior, so with their father in the hospital, his sister is all by herself in the house and grieving. Leo takes an extended leave of absence and travels to their large rural home in the small town of Westinwood, Colorado.
During this time, Leo reconnects with his sister and they grieve together as their father passes away and they lay him to rest. Amidst the pain, a forbidden romance develops, leading to a fiercely sexual week. Ultimately, Leo falls in love with his sister and prolongs his leave to stay with her.
From here, it can be purely romantic, or some of Samoni's men can come after Leo and attack their home. If you prefer magical or supernatural settings, this can be tweaked to have Leo work for a special department of the FBI as a demon hunter or something, and then maybe the sister has dormant magical potential that keeps drawing demons and monsters to her. I'm open to ideas
