I think women who view manners that way, need to be beaten with their feminist bra. Of course I'm perfectly capable of opening a door for myself, but the fact that someone wants to do it for me, should be accepted with the grace it's given, not as an insult to my ability. My mother used to tell me that if a date didn't open the door for me, I was to sit in the car, or stand outside the door until he did. Luckily I've never had to do so, but it does make my day a little brighter when a man holds a door open for me, or something just as polite, because to me, it means he was brought up the same way I was. That is definitely worth a second look to me.

Men and women who are confident, not arrogant, but know who they are and want out of life. Men and women who take pride in their the way they look and dress. They don't have to look like they work out six days a week but taking reasonable care of themselves says alot about who they are. Kindness too. I can't stand people who put other people down.
