I do like jewelry, but I think it is just as pretty if it is cubic zerconia (sp?) or real. I have a couple of nice nice things but mostly costume jewelry. My wedding band is thick and I haven't been able to get it on since I was pregnant. I might have to have finger liposuction because even if I lose it is not in that finger. If I get it resized again it will probably screw up the ring. I do feel naked without earrings in. That is about my favorite thing to get. I would like to get a mother's ring someday.
I only have 1 pair of earrings, small hoops. I look really nice in them with my short hair. I really need more nice earrings.
My fingers are really fat too. I'm not even going to post my ring size, it's embarrassing but I love to wear my rings. If I ever lose weight, I'm definitely going to resize my rings.
Oh we could have fun earring shopping!!!!! I bet with your hair a lot of earrings would look nice on you.
I have to have good earrings. I can't have anything cheap. What about you?
I would so go earring shopping with you. *hug*
The only real jewelry I wore was my wedding ring whilst I was married.
Once I took that off, I realized I would rather have a video game or an upgrade on one of my machines.
So I don't wear much more than cheap hoop earrings.
I have a lot of jewelry, but I rarely wear it. No rings, earrings, necklaces, nothing. If I'm going out for the night I'll put something simple on. My favorites? A beaded bracelet handcrafted in Mexico that I bought for $1. And some Lia Sophia earrings. They about three inches long, some blue something or other. I like how long they dangle because most anything gets lost in my mass of hair. Necklaces annoy the shit out of me. No matter what clasp it is, it always gets wound up in my hair.
Agreed on the earrings, cheap ones make my ears itch.

My ears swell up and to be gross, the earring holes seep.
Oh I know about oozing ears, it is gross. And then they get all crusty.
Blob, I knew it had something to do with the metals. I've heard if you paint the earring part that goes through the ear hole with clear nail polish, it won't affect you. I've never done it though.
Do you have the equipment required for electroplating?
I dug around and since I don't know what that is, I think not.
Pink: I have jewelry from 27 years ago, I've had to laugh at how my tastes have evolved.
I was hoping someone would have an opinion on that....That being said, I've had just about every private place pierced that can be pierced and I'd do it all again but my body pushes the bars out. That was always fun to buy new pieces for.
I love it but I rarely wear it. Working in construction tends to put a crimp on daily wear but lately I'm drawn to chunky, statement bracelets and I can't wear earrings either, my body hates most metals and I never wear a watch because I stop them. I will wear some huge earrings just for a few hours though because it's just so much fun. The only rings I wear are an amethyst and diamond ring I bought myself when I got my MBA and my anniversary band that went with my wedding rings, I just love that band so much and it doesn't hurt to see it anymore.

Do you guys ever shop at antique stores for jewelry? I spent a few hours in one the other day and I found SO many rings I'd love to have but I'd never wear them all. I love the big, chunky bead necklaces that were big in the 60's and 70's but I'm a scarf girl.
lol 27 years is a long time.
I love classic pieces. My mother just gave me a faux Alexandrite ring. It is gorgeous.
