Ok.... Ladies I need your help!

I'm 26 and have recently noticed fine lines (wrinkles) below my eyes. I've been using different eye creams (Origins, Mary Kay, etc), but it's not helping. I want to start early in preventing these darn things.... so enlighten me! What are the products that you like? What works the best to prevent and get rid of these wrinkles? Any asian secrets, natural fixes, amazing products???

All suggestions are welcome! THANKS!

Here are several tips that my dermatologist suggested....

- Rest, rest, rest. Make sure that you are properly rested, and know that one night of bad sleep can take up to 14 nights of regular rest to fix.

- Make sure your body is properly hydrated. Drink the recommended amount of fluids.

- If you're in the sun, wear sunglasses. The squinting can accelerate wrinkles (this is the one I have the hardest with)

- If you can afford it, go to a competent esthetician. She'll be able to determine your skin's needs and recommend the proper creams and care.

- Again, if you can afford it, try microdermabrasion/an indepth facial. It not only helps to remove the surface layer of skin, it also promotes the regenerating of healthy skin.

- Creams can take up 7 weeks to be effective before you notice any noticeable results. So be patient. (another hard one)

- There are some natural products that you can apply, but I can't remember what they are. When I find them, I'll post.

- Also, keep in mind that what consitutes as wrinkles can be laugh lines. Again, someone who deals with skin (esthetician, dermatologist, make-up artists, etc) will be able to tell you the difference.

Hope these help! If I think of more, I'll post...

Good luck.

All good advice suggested by fire breeze.
The biggest thing to remember is - wear sunscreen daily. I hate to tell you, but if you're only starting now, then it's most likely too late. Most damage is done before we hit 20, so after that, all you can really do it keep it clean and hydrated.
There is some proof that vitamin A (retinol) reduces wrinkles, but it can make you more sensitive to sunburn.

Great suggestions! I don't get enough sleep! That's for sure! I need to work on that. I've always moisturized, but never really focused on my eyes or any specific areas. I will have to see about going to an esthetician. Short on cash at the moment, but maybe I can squeeze it in.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Oh no, I'm a non-smoker....
Thank goodness, I don't have to worry about smoking wrinkles! I would go mad! Hahaha!

I'd add that it would be a good idea to do your eye moisturizing at night before bed and try sleeping with your head more elevated --this also helps with dark circles.

First, whenever you are out (whether it's sunny or cloudy or snowing!), wear sunscreen underneath your makeup or use a foundation with a SPF in it.
Second, drink a LOT of water! Also, stay out of the sun, wear a hat and UV blocker sunglasses. Also, if you are a smoker that will age your skin at least 10 years.

I've used Mary Kay products. I use their microdermabrasion system and it works well, but you could probably find something comparable out there.

There's also this eye cream that I used by Benefit (I can't remember the specific name but it was a very small circular container)--it was thick and you didn't need a lot. I saw a difference around my eyes. Luckily, at my age (I'm 35) I have good skin and am just starting to see a few creases around my eyes. I'm don't smoke and I don't drink a lot. I'm fair so I've always worn sunscreen and have taken care of my skin since my 20s. I have friends around my age whose skin looks 10 years older because of the time they spent in the sun and not taking care of their skin in their 20s.

You also might want to try getting a facial done. There are some good natural peels and microdermabrasion type facials that might help with some fine lines.

I don't think you'll get rid of the wrinkles per se, but you can probably help minimize them with quality products. Staying out of the sun is the best way to prevent skin damage, not to mention the prevention of skin cancer.
