So I was just responding to the tread about what you wear for cologne and began to wonder what the women like their men to wear or not wear for cologne.

If you do like them to wear it, what is your favorite scent?

I was with a man who used calvin klein's eternity and he was a casual smoker too and sometimes when the 2 scents mildly mixed it, I just loved it

Honestly, no... I love wearing perfume myself, but I have never smelled a man's cologne that didn't give me a headache except for Pi by Givenchy, and my boyfriend doesn't like that one, so...

I prefer a clean, freshly showered "scent" over something too overpowering.

I love a very old school scent called The Baron that is not really available. I never like what my husband likes, so I'm not sure about something more current.

Male or female, too much perfume/cologne is never a good thing. A body spray would be better.

I love a subtle hint of cologne on a man. I have a lot of perfume in my collection that is somewhat gender neutral, and I love picking out things for my husband to wear :) One of my favorites on him is Carnival Wax's The Reverend.

No. I don't like the heavily scented deoderant either.

Smell

But I doubt that the smell of sweat is a turn on.

Yes. But they should not smell like they took a swim in it. It should be a subtle mix. it should also complement their natural body odor. To often men buy the generic "old spice" crap. It smells like a wet gym sock to me. It needs to mix with what they already have going on to turn my head.

I prefer men to smell clean and soapy fresh. When it comes to cologne, it should be used sparingly .... as a hint or suggestion of who you are and what you're about .... in a way that sparks reaction .... making us ladies want to nuzzle your neck and then some.

I know plenty of women who find sweaty men sexy. Mid-run or workout, after mowing the lawn....I'm sure you get the point.

Yes, yes, yes. I'm not against cologne per se but there's few I like. But the worst is when it's used to cover a lack of personal hygiene.

I love cologne so much that I actually might prefer it over perfume. The best ones I can think of off the top of my head are:

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy For Him (an old favorite)
Bath & Body Works Ocean For Men (my current favorite)
Gucci Guilty For Men
Dior Sauvage
Bleu De Chanel
