Ladies, do you color your hair?

I have some blonde highlights put in every few months. It's really long at the mo again and I'm pondering on getting a good chopping before I go on me jollies.

I pictured you as a blond. I also pictured you very pretty.

Oh no, I dont.

The thought of how much dye it would take, not to mention how weird it would look growing out keeps me from doing it.

I have thought of going with a dark pink.

I am guessing that your hair would grab the color so you are right, it would take a lot of color. When I go a long time without coloring, it grabs the color a lot. It's like my hair is dry, maybe it is.

You know how I feel about pink.

I'm sorry I missed seeing your post, ltr.

I don't want to get started and have to keep it up. As long as it just turns gray and doesn't fall out I'm good. I wouldn't mind Emmylou Harris gray though. Her hair is gorgeous.

I hope it turns out the way you want it.

Sorry I missed your post.

Yes, of course, at my age. :D

It is a medium brown, a few shades darker than my natural color, with reddish undertones.

My wife was just griping about the hair double standard, she's getting a touch of gray and freaking over it and trying to find the color the exact shade of her red hair.

I have some gray on the sides, a little salt and pepper look and first off I could care less, second I've heard some women actually like it.

I agree, it is a double standard. I love men with gray hair. I just don't like gray on me.

Yeah. Been having it done forever. A couple of times a year I have highlights put it. It's medium caramel sort of brown right now with blonde highlights.

I pictured you with light brown hair. Shows what I know.

Do you color coordinate with your axe?

I can end up with red highlights. :)

It was darkish brown when I first dyed it. If I kept it short, I'd be tempted to let it grow back out natural. No one I know would probably recognize me though. I might chop it off one day and dye it close to what I believe is my natural color and see how it grows out.

i dyed my hair all the time when i was in my teens and early twenties. it ran the gamut of colors from pink to blue to bleached white/blonde to red. since then, i've let it grow out naturally. just the other weekend, i picked up a box of red dye, but i just couldn't do it. having roots would be stressful and too much upkeep. my hair cut now requires shaping up every six weeks, and i can't imagine adding color on top that. before this cut, i maybe got a trim every year. i think in the fall i will begin growing it out again.

I am with Pink, I love men with grey hair on the sides and in their next day beard. :)

I have been coloring mine so long I don't know what my natural color is! Lol! I usually do a chocolate brown with copper red highlights but I am seriously thinking about going rose gold now. I love the color, it is so pretty.

Not in a few years, but I've been contemplating grabbing some of that henna hair dye and going red for a bit.

The pix I have posted on this very site! Yes. I dye my hair. I had a couple months off work due to surgery last fall, I got bored and dyed my hair and got a tattoo... my hair became fire engine red. I loved it. A month later, bored again I went with bright pink, as that faded a nice violet...right now it is a whole conglomeration of colors, but I am going to go with a red - blonde combo for summer I think.
