I fail to see how this is a BAD thing.

I wish puttin' on a rubber would make my dick bigger.

Don't envy me. I hate it.

I went up 1 whole cup size in a month. I am popping out of my D cup now, too, but am resisting buying more new bras.

LOL. Try the Curvation line at Wal-Mart. 11.95, and they work better than some of the bras I have that cost triple the price. I'm a big fan of being able to jump around and work hard and still locate the girls afterward. Plus, they're pretty. :D

Thanks. I'll look into it.

The difference is that you seem to want a larger dick. I don't want larger breasts. My old C cups were perfect. *sigh*

so here's what my mom said (she called tonight). The book was by a guy named Dr. Lee, but she cant remember the title and she loaned it to a friend some time ago. She did however mention that one of the biggest things is to watch your stress level and how many preservatives you take in daily, as well as taking a multi-vitamin daily. There could be some things as simple as vitamin and mineral deficiencies that could be causing some of the problems.

And if it's any consolation to you, she tried taking birth control pills as a hormone replacement and something to help regulate her since she's perimenopausal (sp?). She just cant take them. She tried 4 different kinds and still had major problems and this book was suggested to her (if she remembers the name of it she said she'd tell me and I'll pass it on then). I hope some of this helps some.
I found the author on Amazon. Dr John Lee has written a bunch of books about menapause and hormones. I don't think I'm going to be able to find which one it is without a title. Let me know if she remembers. Thanks for checking for me, though.

I'll let you know if she remembers, but she's never really been that good at remembering things once she forgets. I'm sure if you look through them you could find one about natural hormones. I took a general look at Barnes & Noble online and they've got about 15 books total if you do a search combining his name and the keyword of hormones.

Ok, I'd like to get some feedback on the pill. I don't like hormonal birth control, but have been taking it the last few months because my periods were out of control painful and disrupting my life.
I started with the patch, which was a disaster. In a month's time, I added a cup size. Now I'm on yasmin which has lower hormone levels. It's better than the patch, but I'm still not thrilled.
Before, I would have one day of cramps so bad I could barely get out of bed. The second day would be uncomfortable, but tolerable. The last 2 days would be bearable. Now I have 2 fairly uncomfortable days and 3 days of starting/stopping (I have ruined a lot of panties the last couple of months) flow and minor discomfort.
So, it's definitely better than it was, but, not nearly as good as I'd hoped. I asked the gynecologist for wholistic remedies and she said, "I wouldn't know. I practice Western Medicine."
I've resigned myself that yasmin is the best I can do, but I am wondering about the experiences the rest of you have had.

eeek i was plannin to go on the patch :catroar:

Sorry, I was on Alyesse for a couple of years and that worked well for me but doesn't sound like it's what you're looking for.
It's low dose and works well for me, too.

I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen for years and had no problems with it. If anything I lost weight and was in a better mood as the cramps, bloating, and 12 day periods where a thing of the past.

Same here. I'm on the Ortho patch right now, and it seems to be fine, except for an occasional migrane, but to be fair, I had them during "that week" before I was on any birth control at all.

Update: I'm waiting for the doctor's office to call. Since I start a new pack of pills tomorrow, they are trying to change the prescription today. So I'll report back when they call.

restlessnights,

My form of birth control was the pill because I had very heavy periods. The first pill they placed me on was Ortho and while it worked well, some times I still had really bad cramps. Later on I changed doctors and she placed me on another low dose birth control pill and they worked really well, I have not taken in for a while now so I forgot the name but it started with a "C" and instead of the little circle the pills were package in a long rectangle package thing.

I got off the pill because I missed a doctor's appt. and have not gone back, but I will be going once I am done with school and I have some free time. So the pill did work for me, I did not gain weight, my moods did not change, and my period last all but 2 days with no cramps or discomfort.

In the magazine "Real Simple" issue May 2005, they have a very good article on all forms of birth control. They give you the pros and cons to every form of birth control. Its pretty neat, they break it down for you and tell you the basics one needs to know... you should check it out if you have a chance. :)

Good Luck... :rose:

what about a Depo(sp) shot? My sister takes that. Has not had a period for 6 years

I would do that, cause the Gods know i would love to be rid of that monthly pest, but its said to cause weight fluctuation as a side affect.

I was taking Allesse for three months and that did the trick. No cramps, no spotting, nothing out of the ordinary.

I just switched to Estrostep last week, and the amount of the hormone in the pill changes the closer it gets to your "start time".

Since i switched though, my sex drive is insane...not complaining though

Don't take this the wrong way, but I hate people like you.*sigh* :p I always hear that kind of thing from girlfriends, "oh, I started the pill and now I barely notice my period..." I've never come close to that yet.

That's a new side effect I haven't heard before. My sex drive is already insane. I don't need help on that front.

The doctor called in a new prescription for Allesse. But she said, as the Yasmin (which I'm on now) has the best results for cramps, it's up to me whether or not I want to try it or stick with the Yasmin. This is very frustrating. I'm thinking it can't hurt to give the new one a try. Thoughts?

There was one thing that happen to me when I was on the pill.

For some reason I could not eat dairy ... I had to limit myself to one serving of dairy if not I would end up feeling nausea and get really bad stomach cramps... that was the only drawback for me. I really really love my ice cream but alas I had to cut back...

I hope your new prescription works and you have no problems or anything. :rose:

Hmmm, that's odd about the ice cream. That would be right up there with losing my sex drive. I'd probably have to stop taking the pill if that happened. :D

Thanks.:rose: I'll let you know if this one works better.

how long have you been on the Yasmin? Every doctor I've seen has suggested taking a certain one for 3 months to get a pretty good idea of how it's going to affect you. It is ultimately up to you though if you switch pills and when you do it.

I've been on the Yasmin for 4 or 5 months. I've decided I'm going to try the new one and see what happens. I'll let you know how it works.
