Don't you feel cooler already? Nice touch making it not legally binding, but "politically binding." But hey, you had to get the Japanese on board. I think I'll fire up the grill and eat a holy cow tonight to celebrate.

This is terrible news

...for those of us who love and care about Global Warming. I was so looking forward to the First Annual Pineapple Harvest in Anchorage next year right after the week-long Kansas Shark Fishing Contest. Now we'll have Global Cooling on our hands.

Satisfied?

Look on the bright side. We can do some ice fishing on Lake Lanier.

*Farts*

Does this mean they are going to come and put a meter on my ass?

*Farts again*

Oh, and WD,
My dog wants to join you.
He says "Holy Cow! FEEEEED MEEEEE! I am starrrrr-ving!!! Woof!"

This is highly upsetting.

How many of you have had to live through a Canadian Winter? They last from July to June. I for one was hoping that this Kyoto would fail. If this Global cooling keeps up we won't even have our week of summer anymore.

global cooling is caused by global warming if that makes sense ... some places get hotter and that causes a knock on effect making other places cooler

kyoto is good ... we need to stabilize our environment and then we will have more "normal" weather

Oh yeah, we can control the weather.

Hell, we can't even predict it.

Two months ago, we were being told to stand by for a terrible, early, brutally cold winter. The woolly catapillars have no bands, etc., etc., etc...

About a month ago, I read a little factoid on RefDesk.com which stated that the sun has warmed something like .034% over that last ten years (thus accounting for more warming than an international conferance of the green party).

What's Kyoto going to do?

Mandate a big sun block?

But us canucks don't want to go back to normal weather of 1 weekend of summer, we like our one month we have now, in fact we want more.

Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming, Go Global Warming

Global Warming your so fine, you blow my ming, yay Global Warming.

Down with Kyoto

Fine for you to say,
but I have to go mow the lawn again!
We haven't even had a hard frost yet.
Global warming sure has some downsides.

Goddamn it, it you people drip on us ONE more time...

Anyone who says our weather is normal is either stupid or crazy.

Think about it. The weather can be bright, sunny, and warm one day, then suddenly without warning it rains, just like that. What in the world is that all about?

Pardon me for intruding on this thread.

Starfish, I absolutely love your new Av. Do you know who the artist is?

How sweet, Thank you Ruby. The artists name is Starfish. ;)

Would you like to see the whole painting?

I just finished it this week.

the week-long Kansas Shark Fishing Contest

This was the only thing I didn't quite understand. Why do you want to fish for gar? Yeeeeeee-ucky fish. Bass, walleye, crappie, catfish, wipers, bluegill, trout, heck, even carp are better eating.

Well, gar are seriously cool fish, as far as technical design goes. But catching them? Why?

Lavy

Score

Sun 1
People's emissions 0

Why?

The ratio.

Of course population in the US is somewhat steady, the Soviet, excuse me, Russian population is decreasing, and the Chinese, the type of central government you perefer is increasing, as well as many other third world nations, so where does the emission problem lie?

Personally. I will not be using any fossil (Sp?, Southern Comfort) fuels to heat my home this winter. Oak, Walnut, and Hedge, spiced with cedar from the druoght of the last two years.

And my electricity comes from a nuke.

Gar? WTF?

Ugly-ass fish that look like a skinny fucking gator.

Sharks=salt water
Gar=fresh

I've fished both. Fresh water fish are candy ass compared to their ocean friends.

What does the World Taekwondo Federation have to do with Global Warming?

Actually, no it doesn't AJ. The electricty you buy from KPL comes from one of 9 fossil-fuel centers. They sell Wolf Creek's energy out of state because they make more money selling the reliable nuke energy out of state than they do selling the less reliable fossil fuel electricity. Here in the big KS, we're stuck with them, so who do we complain to? They aren't stuck with WR out of state. The energy isn't reliable, they buy it elsewhere.

:) Western Resources, your friend.

Here's a break down, if you like.

"Western Resources' total electric capacity is more than 5,000 total megawatts, with 62 percent of that capacity fueled by coal, 10 percent by uranium, and 28 percent by natural gas, fuel oil, and other."

You really should know your electric cooperative.

Not to worry, Muffy. if the Melting Snow Greenies are right, you'll
be shelling in your back yard in about 16,000,000 years.

Get your beach pail and shovel ready.

I found shells today already. They were unexploded, too.

You know what I think? I think that something ought to be done. I really did go over this in another thread and I think I got thoroughly trounced by the green steamie beenies or whatever you called them, but completely ignored that. I'm right. Because I'm not left. HAHAHAHAHAAHAH sorry, couldn't resist.

Kyoto is old news.

By all models, it should happen slowly enough that the damn copperheads will evolve and kill off the sharks. I killed another one yesterday. Those fuckers should be in the ground by now.
