It took 60 years, but Clinton is finally going to get a 3-way with Asian chicks after all.

This qualifies as good news.

If this is true, it is GREAT news, and there is nothing about it that this Republican could imagine disparaging.

If fact, what about it is politically partisan?

Are you suggesting there is something about Clinton being a Democrat that caused the release?

IF NK took the girls captive during a Democratic administration, I would certainly hope they would be released as quickly as possible within that same administration. If political affiliation did not affect their capture why would it affect their release?

Welcome home, ladies!

The wingnuts will say that this proves that Bill Clinton and President Obama are Marxists, like Kim Jong-il.

I agree, this is great news, considering that they could have been given the death sentence!

SEOUL, South Korea – North Korean leader Kim Jong Il issued a "special pardon" freeing two jailed American journalists after talks with former U.S. President Bill Clinton, North Korea's official news agency announced Wednesday.

AAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! The first sentence under "Fight the Smears" is:

"What you wont hear from this campaign or this party is the kind of politics that uses religion as a wedge, and patriotism as a bludgeon..."

So much for "Fighting the Smears"! :D:D

As for these other guys, it only proves that no matter how nice and elegant the party, some clowns always have to step outside to huddle over smokes and dirty jokes.

Both parties suck--by virtue of there being two parties. With two parties, all you need to do is beat the other party. Since they both want to beat the other equally desperately, they both equally suck.

Oh, I still think there is a thread of ideology somewhere near the center of both camps around which the ugliness swirls, but I think it is hilarious when either side publishes something like this and is oblivious to its double meaning -- at least I hope they were oblivious. :D

please! bill clinton made many mistakes....obama is a natural disaster

In order to think that way one has to be ideologically driven to the right. The Clinton years were years of peace and a broadly based economic expansion. Most Americans did not care about his affair with Monika Lewinsky. Indeed, as more details of this "scandal" leaked out, Clinton's approval rating went up.

According to a Fox News Poll taken July 21-22, 2009 61% of Americans think George Bush is more responsible for our economic problems. 16% think President Obama is more responsible. Even Republicans blame Bush by 34% to 30%.

And look who's been smearing the most. Go Birthers! Go Teleprompters! Yaaaay team! :D

*erk*

Stop trying to report the news. It's always shit we've already heard about.

You miss the point of my laughter. It wasn't about who does what MOST. It was the backhanded nature of the smear as the introduction to a call for inter-party civility. That's FAR better than the average smear.

If it was inadvertent, the Obama camp should be appropriately embarrassed.

If it was intended to appear inadvertent, then it was fucking brilliant, and I am assuming they laughed a lot harder than I did.

Well, Obama's pancreas must be ripping from all the laughing because I sure don't see him doing any smearing. If you lead by example and those following aren't going by the manual, then you best know where it is that your finger is pointing towards. Or maybe the energy spent looking and digging for shit to throw could be better served towards making things better, yey?
