Surely you see how often people are criticized if they say something without prefacing it with "IMHO" or something like that. In my case, it's a reaction to the dammed oversensitive types who feel the need to defend some potential demographic that can't or won't respond for themselves.

I do notice that nobody seems to defend those poor child-molesters, though--those sad, sad victims of their own mental illness.
