Because that way the baby has to be brought to term. No accidental abortions of boys. They'll just do away with the girls after they're born.

The doc did a sonogram and sexed the child as a girl. The couple aborted the child and found out it was a boy. I understand they sued the doctor because they wanted a son. It was a big mess. I'm trying to remember which news service I saw that article on so I can put in the link.
