Maybe it's something I could have fun with in the not too distant future.

I think it would be great if you could do the 'Betty' poses because that was one of the first things i thought about when i saw your picture...I do not have one tattoo myself but I am dying for one...I have already got it picked out it is going to be a dragon fly across my back im not sure where...any suggestions for a first timer:kiss:

go small at first...and don't get all black..do lighter colors. It's easier to cover up lighter colors than it is black. With black ink, if you decide you don't like it, you have to get more black or dark colors to cover it up (anyone that tells you that you don't is lying..sure, at first if you cover up with colors it will be fine, but then the black will start to show through later on)

and my only other suggestion...make sure it's something that is personal to you and that you will still love when your 60/70 years old :)

thank you so much ember....My husband has 9 tattoos himself and his main concern is that I will get something I am going to regret later....that's why i want a dragonfly because they hold special meaning to me..

Hiya KittyWings..... as long as you know exactly what you want, and it is something which has a special meaning, and you get it done WELL, you will not regret it.

You're husbands concerns are natural, but ultimately the choice is yours. You sound as though you have thought it through.

Placement of a tattoo is also a personal choice. The size comes into it. Stand in front of a mirror and play around with placement. Do you want to be able to show it or would you rather keep it more personal? It all hurts so find a spot your happy with and just go for it. ;) :kiss: :rose: Best of luck to you... let us know how you go.

I would say 'Lovely artwork!', but chances are most of yoru tattoos are self designed, and I'd just be repeating something I've said more than a few times before. ;)
