..and you find yourself warm inside..and your palms of hot sweat...your mind is racing like a star in the sky..and your heart is of a beat not to touch...so you find yourself...kissing your soul away..... ....

Well... that's interesting. Usually souls and hearts are pretty darn cliché little buckaroo but I do like "your heart is of a beat not to touch" and "kissing your soul away."

Umm... to critique his poem? Revise it?

and you find yourself warm inside
your palms of hot sweat
your mind is racing like a star in the sky
your heart is of a beat not to touch
so you find yourself kissing your soul away

Start out by getting rid of all those ellipses.
Now it's time to say bye bye to the clichés.

I'll be back for more. You may not want me back but that won't stop me. :D

horror story

PETA people are about to hate me.

A heart beat can be touched.

When I was a college student, I was involved in basic behavioral research. What that boiled down to, was that we made lesions on rat brains in order to effect behavioral changes.

After we made the lesions (horror, absolute horror), we had to confirm where the damage was.

What it boiled down to, and many of you may hate me, was vivisection. I can tell you for a fact, a rat's heart flees from fingers.

There is horror there, but there is also poetry. I cannot write about it, but it may be useful to others.

The will to live is stronger than, I think, most people have any concept of. I quit my discipline because I felt like the Mengele of the rodent world.

Please don't hate me.

Not, I think, from me.

I have no concept of poetry from horror.

Don't get me wrong, I hate rats. I'm allergic to them, I would exterminate them without mercy if they were in my house.

But, regardless of the value of the research, I feel bad about what I did.

I have no words.

Don't feel bad. I used to do the same thing to rats, and also to cats and monkeys. And became allergic to all three. I think the bites and scratches you get eventually sensitizes you.
I don't hate rats, but I dislike cats, and positively loath monkeys!

Rybka, I don't envy you those memories.

Monkeys would really haunt me.

I was supposed to go into the behavioral pharmacology program. Monkeys, cats, and dogs were next. Dogs! No chance. I could never.

When I was in High School, I refused to dissect the frog and the fetal pig on moral grounds. I was told that I had no chance to pass the class. I earned an 'A'. My tiny Nazi gymnast teacher was amazed. That was the second, possibly third, most satisfying moment of my life. Seeing her gnomish face when she handed me my final. She had a Thylvester the Cat lisp.
