Kink goes mainstream

Interestingly enough, literary fiction has been at least a bit kink friendly for a while. Curtis White's Memories of My Father Watching TV, Mary Gaitskill's Because They Wanted To and Bad Behavior, and Josephine Hart's Damage are all fine examples of some of the kink friendly literary fiction of the 20th/21st century. Kink is not the goal, but today's authors certainly do not shy away from the racier side of human nature.

Mary Gaitskill's short story "Secretary" was the inspiration for the film of the same name, although the short story is a much darker piece without a "happily ever after" ending.
