I'm a 20 year old male soldier. I've been in the Army for 3 years now. I'm currently in Iraq, and most of my days are filled with boredom. I was wondering if there were any females out the to write to to keep me entertained?

happy thanksgiving hon...thank you so much for your service.

It's not to bad here. It's just boring a lot of the time. Thanksgiving dinner was ok, but nothing like a good home cooked meal.

Boring is good is the running mantra for the troops here. Like you said, it means we're safe. Actually, most of the area where I am is very supportive of the American presence and whether you've heard of it or not, they have George Bush statues throughout the city.

Kisses young man... thank you for being there and bored does mean safe. I'll send you something Pm to help you spend your days happy.

Hi there hon. I hate that so many of our troops are away from their homes. I have much respect for everyone that fights for our freedom. Pm me sometime, if you like :rose:

Iraq in the winter it's horrible isn't it. I did two toups in Iraq with the British army although we only had to do 6 month tours as opposed to your poor sods having to do over a year. All you can do is look after yourself and your mates and tick the days off until you get home.

Luckily for men in uniform (as opposed to women) the opposite sex will be dropping their knickers for you as soon as you get back so just anticipate the homecoming shag fest and that might help with the loneliness.

Yea, it's beginning to get cold here. I'me in northern Iraq, so it's cold enough to snow some days out there. By the time I leave next yhear though, it'll be right about the time stuff starts getting into the triple digits. Lucky me.

I did a summer and a winter tour and the winter was definitely worse, just fucking mud everywhere. Anywho as for boredom I used do what a lot of people did and just go to the gym for a couple of hours each day which pretty much took care of my free time. I've never been as fit physically as when I came back, although after a few weeks leave I'd be back to normal.

The yanks always had better facilities on their camps than we had, due to you doing longer tours I suppose so we were always keen to get on to american camps and use the PX. Anyway its down to a personal preference as to how you kill time but good luck anyway and keep your head down.
