I read as far as where The Black Bird joins up with Richie Nix. The Black Bird is a ruthless Canadian hit man, Richie Nix is a really dum ex-con. They join forces after Richie takes The Black Bird hostage, to rob and murder. But The Black Bird gets a gun, is set to blow Richie's brains out, and Richie calmly suggests they partner up to do some stupid capers. Armand (The Black Bird) says, OKAY.
IRL Richie is too impulsive and volatile to be cool and calm when a pistol is pressed against his head. He'd shit his underpants and cry. Armand isn't a sap. The incongruence of the partnership is too much for my pretty lil head.
Readers love it. I hate it. I hate it becuz its stupid. Armand isn't a stupid guy, and that makes it all worse.
