Twins never really got to know their mom growing up. She disappeared when they were little and their dad tries to avoid talking about it, only ssaying he did something awful and that they shouldn't try to find their mother.

Edit: realize it's not that erotic of a story. The twist was going to be that the woman he had sex with was a half sister from his mom's selkie family. Thought of something better: one of the reasons the kids are so eager to find their mother is that sis has been acting weird and seems obsessed with the ocean. More concerning however is the mutual lust the siblings have been feeling toward each other. They want to fuck and have come close on many occasions since becoming adults. They hope their mom has some information on medical history or somethingthing else that can help them.
So instead of a stranger, after seeing their mom happy with another family, the two of them decide to comfort each other by having sex and feel such release and pleasure that that they curl up with each other and admit how much they really love each other, making the revelation all the more upsetting.
