Feeling Jack's hand on her backside Katy laughed happily, she couldn’t see any reason he’d be lying, it wasn’t even as if he had to try and get her into bed anymore but it was still unusual getting used to more compliments in one day than she’d probably had in the last few months combined.
"By the way, taking a nice warm shower with you sounds absolutely wonderful. But even better I would love to have you spend the night in my bed....But I can't guarantee you'll get much sleep."
Katy grinned as he said everything she'd been hoping for. She wondered if she should feel guilty for introducing the idea, maybe he'd only been thinking this was all part of their adventure out and wasn't intending to spend the night with her but now he'd offered after all, she wasn't stupid enough to turn him down.
“I’m sure I’ll manage somehow. There's always a lie-in" she replied, relishing the thought of losing sleep because he was making love to her all night rather than plain insomnia, that would make a hell of a change.
She loved his attention, even the small things such as when he replaced the flower in her hair and loved chatting to him, hearing his stories as he showed her around the island. She felt as though she was falling for him but what if he didn't feel anything like the same?
"Here we are. Let's set for a spell and just enjoy the waves and ocean."
"Sounds great" she agreed, sitting on the bench next to him, stretching out her legs to soak up more of the sun while she could, daring to lean against his shoulder affectionately.
“This is just as beautiful here.” she smiled, “This is the sort of place I always imagined when my mother used to read me bedtime stories about adventures on a beach, or pirates and mermaids, or travelling across the sea, I didn't think I'd actually end up somewhere like this right now."
"I'm glad we talked earlier..." she halted, feeling awkward again about being honest. "...I'm enjoying being here with you... well, I didn't really need to say that I suppose, that's probably obvious," she blushed, "but spending time together, however it ends I mean."
She ran a hand through her hair as she stumbled slightly awkwardly over what she was trying to get out but felt comfortable enough with Jack to laugh at herself instead of crumbling into herself and trying to run.
"If you'd picked someone else I'd still be back out that way somewhere" she mused, her hand sliding along his leg absentmindedly. "I know we can't stay here forever but I'm really glad to have ended up here is all. I'm glad we met, I feel so right with you."
