It looks as if you may have tried to PM me about something, but I know not what. I received a header but no text in my malfunction PMs.

I been waitng a week for my edited version of my story A Rural Kentucky Town that I submited to replace the current version on Literotica.

I was wondering whos in Charge of Putting up stories on literotica.

I've heard that Laurel and/or Manu make the calls personally (which seems unlikely due to the sheer bulk of submissions). I've heard there is a selection committee; I've heard that a small number of volunteers make the call. Which, if any, of those scenarios might be true is something of a mystery.

It's possible that the Valentine's contest slowed acceptance, since contest entries were on a deadline. Several writers for whom I edit have mentioned some slowdown during contests.

If you see the word "pending," then you haven't been rejected, and your entry should be moving up toward the front of the line.

If anyone higher up the food chain than I has a more definitive answer, please feel free to jump in here.

Well, I sure as hell am not in charge, there wouldn't be many stories here if I was the one giving final acceptance. :emoticon:

Well, it looks like it's a well kept secret as even I who's Mod here doesn't know the answer to that question.

A wise practice, that probably cuts way down on the hate mail. (I wish we could adopt the practice at the house where I work.)

Fred Dannay, half of the writing partnership that created Ellery Queen, used to offer an explanation of who accepted/rejected stories at E.Q.M.M. “A senior editor, four assistant editors, two interns, and a slinky receptionist named Cookie all had access to the scene of the crime, as did dozens of master criminals created by our frequent contributors. One of these people killed your story. Here’s a clue: the butler didn’t do it.”

Well
Manu has at least one assistant, since I had an email on a technical site bug/feature from info@lit saying "If it happens again I'll get Manu to look at it."

Yeah that assistant being Laurel most probably. They both are owners to the site but Manu is the one in charge of all technical/feature bug that could occur.
