She grinned at him as she looked at the cards.. "Well lets say if I win I put you to work here at the bar... My Cooler Andee she never takes a break not for anything I like to give her a day off she more then earned it but she won't do it ...And you have to work in her stead" she grinned at him ...

She looked at the cards setting her hand on each one useing magic to see what each card was finding a red card she sat there and looked at him

"How do I know you didn't do some fany card trick and make all the cards Black ?" she grinned at him..

Gia remained behind the bar in a more relaxed state. Cleaning glasses and serving drinks as was her job. She did chat it up with a few of the regulars a chorus of laughter ring from her general direction. "...And then that fuck tard ran away.. I mean come on look at me." she jiggled a bit to give the men a show. Always the flirtatous one...though it did nothing for her. "I'm nothing more than a buck and a nickle how's he gonna be scared of something like this?" she questioned the men. They all laughed raising their glasses after one of them cracted a lewd joke.

Coin considered.

"I'm not so much a fighter love. Sure there wouldn't be some other lad you could hire for that? Hmm. I suppose that I could do that. Grab a few blokes and keep this joint ordilly. It's a deal"

Coin watched her hands for a moment. Sure she was cheating in some way. It didn't matter, he had done some fancy card trick. They were all red. Coin grinned back. He liked to let the pretty ones win. And a day of honest work was a small price.

She leaned back and looked over at the bar seeing Gia working , Shakeing her head that girl loved getting her ass kicked by Andee that was for sure..

Yelling "Gia Bring me a Bottle of my Best Rum you little tease!" she grinned and winked at her ...as she turned her attention back at Coin ... and picked up a card showing red ....

"Maybe I should of Order you for a week ... I'll tell you what you can hustle here all you want just make sure They are drunk before you take some of my bar money Coin or I will have my Girls Kick your ass and I know one that is happy to get in a fight any time " she smiled sweetly at him

"So tell me what brought you to Promise and my Bar?" she looked at him with interest

Cole smiled, sipping on the drink he had ordered. Never one to indulge too much in alcohol, after a period of time he was still on his first drink. Finally finishing it, he worked his way through the ever-increasing crowd of people to the bar, where he spotted a woman he hadn't seen there earlier. There was a small crowd around the girl, laughing at the stories she was telling. He watched her for a moment, smiling at what she was saying. His eyes locked with hers for a moment and he said nothing, simply staring at her. It was a brief moment before he could get any words out.

"Um..I'd like another rum and coke please...if it's not too much trouble." He threw her the same charming smile he threw the bouncer as he walked in.

Hearing her boss yell to her Gia managed to wiggle free from her patrons to get the rum she had been asked to bring. "Be right with ya sugah..." she told the man at the bar, giving his cheek a soft caress with her finger before heading over to the table. She sat the rum down looking Coin up and down for any signs of trouble. Something was there, not sure what but it was something... "Watch this one I tell ya..." she said and went back tot he bar eyes squinted in warning.

She turned to the man who had wanted his rum and coke. Mixing his drink she smiled sitting on the edge of the bar. "So what brings you here? Drink? Play? Trouble?"

"So tell me what brought you to Promise and my Bar?"

"Oh O'course. Drunk they's easier to grift. If the bar goes under from my takings I go under. territory is in harsh dispute sometimes, Not that I'd know. I'm just a local hustler. Making my way. And any o' your girls are welcome to a piece of my ass if they think they can take it."

Coin looked her up and down. Waiting for the rum. He took a drink of his Whisky. He was sure to need a taste of that to stomach down the sugary sweetness good rum was. He winked at her.

"A week. Hmm. Well I do appreciae your offer. But I'd go broke doing that. But I will hustle still and thank you for the permission."

He watched the tasty looking girl who was now just behind the bar. Bringing them the rum. That was something else he'd sink his teeth in. He brieifly wondered if the curtains matched the drapes? He took his eyes bac to the bouncer, then back to the lovely in front of him.

"Why I hustle here. Hmm. I blew on on the port one day. And I'm at your bar for the..." Coin looked almost wistful as he thought.

"Scenery."

The smile he had given her stayed on his face as she spoke to him.

"So what brings you here? Drink? Play? Trouble?"

"Well hopefully I'm here for the first two. Never was a big fan of trouble, and I prefer to avoid it as much as possible. However...it does seem to have a way of finding me."

He winked at her and took a sip of his drink.

"Well, I must say you make a very good rum and coke. Girl like you has some talent. What brought you to a place like this to work?"

She smiled as she poured rum in her glass she tiped the bottle to him as she looked over at Gia , that girl she treated her like a sister and even gave her the spare room up stairs with Andee..

She looked at Coin "Well I think I will just have to keep a close eye on you now won't eye" as she drank her rum

Gia slipped off the bar and went to fix a drink for another patron before sliding it down the bartop to him. "I work to make a money. Got bills to pay and all that lovely stuff called life." She smiled turning to grab something though she looked over her shoulder. "I would imagine having a bod like this and a cute face to match would be ideal for someone at the bar. I mean who else would you be willing to slip your money to if she werent' a looker. What brings you here yourself stranger?" she asked leaning over the bar a bit intrigued. He had a nice smiled and he was polite which was something she lacked in her life...well she wasn't one to be very tactful anyway.

Coin grabbed a glass and poured for himself, Tossing it back easily. It was good stuff.

"I guess you will. So my shift'll start tomorrow?"

He cocked an Eyebrow at the blond across the table.

"And I'm done hustlin, so what am I to do the rest of tonight?"

"Well being as attractive a girl as you doesn't hurt your tips, I'm sure. Men, especially drunk men, always seem slightly more willing to hand over their money to a girl who is as beautiful as you."
Fearing that he might have embarassed her with this, he looked away for just a moment, taking another sip of his drink, then he turned back to her, hoping she wasn't blushing. "I'm not entirely sure what got me here tonight...Maybe it was you." He winked at her again and chuckled. "Actually, I came to this town a couple of days ago, and decided to see what the local life was like. Been wandering around the world for a long time now, it's nice to stay in the same place for more than a day."

She did blush something she wasn't used to, not many guys could coax any color to her cheeks. Coughing from such a reaction she quickly busied herself with something to do while listening to him.

Gia chuckled a bit understanding his need to be stationary. "Yep. I've been on the move myself lately. Don't really know why but at the very least I get to see things not very many people see in their whole life time." She cleaned a few glasses setting them back where they belong. "Though my moves were only due to my parents. After their deaths I've been in Promise since as long as I can remember... just trying to make ends meet."

The smile vanished from his face as she mentioned her parents. "I'm sorry to hear that...It's never easy to lose someone you're close to. Sadly, I've had to bear witness to a great many people I've cared about, so I can relate. It never does seem to get any easier. And to be as young as you are and to have lost your parents...I'm so sorry. How did it happen, if you dont' mind my asking?"

"Its okay I've managed to cope with it for now." she said a bit sorry for killing the mood with such a topic. But it didn't hurt to answer him just the same. "They died in a car crash...I was the only survived." she said simply not giving any details. "At any rate, like i said I've been able to cope. And the fact remains they died instantly without pain so I'm okay." she said.

"Would you like another rum and coke?"

The smile returned to his face, but his eyes till showed sympathy. "Yes, another drink would be wonderful." After she brought it to him he put it on the coaster in front of him and looked at her. "Why don't we change the topic of conversation to something a bit more cheery? What do you like to do besides work here? I mean, I can understand that hanging out here could be incredibly..." he paused for a moment, looking around at the other patrons at the bar, some of whom were causing minor problems "..interesting, but you have to have other hobbies. What do you do with your spare time?"

Flynndavahl

She heard what Coin said and she couldn't help but grin...and smirk as she breathed in some Air as The Man beside her spoke softly about her coffee she looked him up and down and grinned

Andee looked at him and was amazed it wasn't often people took her for surprise but yet she felt the draw to him as well maybe she had more then one dragon heart in her body...This could be a problem but she wasn't sure she wanted .

She spoke softly "I like my Coffee black its the only indulgence I take " as she looked him in the eyes and hearing Coins voice in the back ground.

Letting his body follow his eyes, Flynn made his way among the tables back to the entrance. He stood near Andee and sipped at his drink. "The only indulgence? Surely you have something you like to do besides watch over this place?"

He motioned past her with his head to where the earlier drunk was still resting at the curb. "Not that you don't do a good job of that, mind you. But it would be a waste to have you closed up here all the time." With another smile, he extended his hand.

"Flynndavahl...most just call me Flynn."

"Well..." she thought for a moment sitting on the edge of the bar. Some leecherous men were leaning over the bar to look up her skirt, she eyed them with a wink but didn't mind so much as long as they didn't try to touch. That was a no-no...

"I like to flirt but I guess that wouldn't be considered a spare time sorta thing now would it?" she winked and thought once more this time for real. "I actually like to read, romance novels..." she blushed a bit but recovered. "I have quite the library of books. I'm also into journalism, literature all sorts of things that deal with writing as a whole. Ohh! What are you're hobbies?" she returned the question liking the new turn of events.

"I'm not sure that I would consider flirting a hobby, but if you ever want to practice it, I'm free." Cole also noticed that there were a few men attempting to look up her skirt and he took his eyes off of her for long enough to throw them a glare, tapping slightly into his dragon heritage, warning the men that they shouldn't do that with a simple look. After regaining his composure, he turned back to the young woman. "Well it appears you and I share some hobbies. I've been an avid reader most of my life, I love all kinds of books. I must say, I'm a big fan of some historical novels, I like to read different people's versions of how events came to pass and compare with with how they actually...or how I think they actually happened."

Gia arched a brow, the hairs on the back of her head shot up but only for a moment before the feeling disappeared. She didn't show any signs of being frazzled either as she listened to Cole talk... and then it hit her. "Oh my god! I so totally didn't introduce myself.. I'm Gia Lark. What's your name?" she asked genuinely intrigued.

At his story of literature she began to smile broadly. "Mythology is similar in a way to that. Reading how different cultures deal with natural disasters or unexplainable occurances with beings of great power and strenght. I myself am in love with the way dragons are often portrayed. Mostly in the eastern countries..their like nobel creatures that protect the weak and vanguish the wicked." she smiled and leaned over the bar to whisper to him. "I'm even born in the year of the dragon."

Cole held out his hand to her and as she took it, he thought he felt a slight spark. "My name is Cole...Cole Drake. It's really a pleasure to meet you Gia."

As she mentioned enjoying mytholgy about dragons, Cole felt his heart start to beat faster and harder, and he grew a little nervous. Attempting to calm himself down, he smiled at her. "You know, not all dragons are good in those stories. I've read many of them myself, and often wondered on what these legends were based. If dragons truly did exist, what kind of lives did they live?" He felt his heart begin to beat faster when she leaned into him, whispering into his ear. Cole leaned in to meet her, and then whispered a reply into her ear. "Well, my last name comes from the latin word draco, meaning dragon. I think that means I win."

Gia pouted at his reply and poked him in the nose. "I suppose it does. Would you like another drink?" she asked fixing a drink for some other patron that managed to pry her attention for a moment.

When she returned she had to ask, "So, I've read a few of those legends on dragons. One of my favorite types of dragons are the black ones. I don't know why but I find them a bit mysterious and quite regal for some reason. Though I have to admit I don't know much about dragons at all... the literature and myths behind dragons are all heresay and fables. I mean do they even exist?" she thought out loud but turned back to Cole. "What kind of dragon do you like?"

He chuckled as she poked his nose and nodded in agreement when asked if he would like another drink. "I don't normally drink this much...you're not trying to get me drunk, are you?" Cole took his freshened drink and sipped at it, smiling.

"Black dragons are, in some mythologies some of the greatest dragons out there. Of course, there are other stories I have heard and read of black dragons being the most evil and vile of creatures ever to roam the Earth. I'm with you - I think black dragons are magnificent creatures." He had to resist the urge to laugh, as he felt almost as though he were bragging about himself. "As to whether they exist well...who knows? Maybe over the years they evolved, changed into something else. Perhaps they walk amongst us. Most mythologies have them as magical beings, so perhaps they...pretend to be human." Coming this close to the truth, Cole was growing incredibly nervous. "Walking the planet, searching for...who knows what?"

Gia blinked a few times, he seemed intriguingly serious about the topic. She watched him closely biting her bottom lip, for some reason he had an undertone of something she couldn't quite place. "You know black dragons are all that... I'm quite taken by blue dragons as well." she said mockingly though with a hint of a tease. For some reason she couldn't help teasing Cole it just seemed natural.

"Though I couldn't possibly see a black dragon being evil and vile... I know they fit the profile but something so dark and mysterious just doesn't strike me as evil." she shrugged. "Perhaps a few turn out that way." Wetting her lips she had to take a breather and tend to the patrons at hand though she let the idea of dragons living among them bounce around in her head. Andee has spoken to her about such things, while she had seemed serious, Gia just didn't seem to be able to drink all that dragon mumbo jumbo down in one sitting.

When she return to Cole she eyed him seriously. Staring without a single blink of an eye, a twitch of her hand nothing she stood there stone cold and watching. Eventually she spoke, "Then if dragons do live among us. Why would they hide? What reason do they have to be here? No one is hunting them anymore or are they?" she asked her tone was serious and she didn't favor a look to anyone until her questions were addressed.
