So sweet of you to be thinking of me. Hope your weekend has been a wonderful one for you.

So far the weekend was survivable, I had to watch after my sisters kids on Saturday, today I had 2 hours of church then it was outside tapping Maple trees.

Now I am in the kitchen cooking, I think my sister wants me to babysit on Friday again.

I could go for having 6 of my own.

Sorry to hear you were tapped again to look after your sister's progeny. I had church on Saturday at noon. I sang at a funeral. Yesterday after singing at the 10am Mass, I was informed there is another funeral tomorrow at noon.

The young man was 26, newly married and he and his wife have an infant child. That is going to be a rough one.

Yum. Maple sugar candy is my favorite!

Snow is gone. Now if it would just warm up a bit. Oh well, in time.

When the going get's tough the tough go clothes shopping.

Seems like it's a rainy day in N.Y., I started putting Winter clothes away and somehow there is cat hair on them.

I can't believe there will be a Federal government shutdown on Friday.

Happy Spring! Now, lets push the rain out of Wisconsin and move directly into summer.

Time for a new twist to making banana bread.

Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
2 large eggs
3 ripe bananas
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Butter a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.


Cream the sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.


In a small bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Mix in the milk and cinnamon. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.


Add the banana mixture to the creamed mixture and stir until combined. Add dry ingredients, mixing just until flour disappears.


Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Set aside to cool on a rack for 15 minutes. Remove bread from pan, invert onto rack and cool completely before slicing.


Spread slices with honey or serve with ice cream.
